Next seasons squad

So, interesting question for everyone out there based on current rumours

- If we sold Vic, Romero, Dragusin, Sarr, let go Davies, Bissouma, RKM
- Brought in Robertson (free), Senesi (free), Van Hecke, Savinho, Harry Wilson (free) and MGW

No new strikers, basically two upgrades (LW & 10) but more depth, more HG, leave front two, is that good enough for next season?

not for top 4 but would push us into Europa contention.

Perhaps that might depend on Lankshear's progression. Logic would say that he shouldn't be ready but we all know the way it works with strikers. Get a couple of goals, eliminate the imposter syndrome, get your confidence up and start feeling like you are more worthy of the shirt than the competition in the squad.

If we can get Solanke rested and then fully fit again, we will think differently about him. The player that Ange had early days just looked different to me.

If we do sell Porro I’d go for Kayode at Brentford
He has the energy for the style we want to play and has a hell of a throw which, with the new new rules is gonna be even more key

Full of self importance aren't you.

Go away you child.
Self importance? No mate, I'm a member of a board that debates football, and specifically Tottenham Hotspur, and I enjoy having a back and forth with people who are happy to have a discussion. That's been the basis of this place since it started out.

If you aren't up to having someone challenge your thinking without resorting to petty insults and being rude, it's not really for you.

This guy has gone under my radar to be fair. Quite interesting that we'd end up with 2 full-backs where the Nigerian diaspora has moved to Italy and had kids that can play for their adopted country. Then the kids both end up in the PL at the same club in London. That would be quite something. Obviously not for Nigeria though as Kayode and Udogie seem to have adopted Italy as they naturally feel more Italian than Nigerian based on their birth place and upbringing.

I just like his energy
And of course he has the best throw in the league
And the new rules on throw ins are gonna have an impact

That’s what I was thinking but thought maybe I’d missed something?

Be interesting to see how it’s inforced as they have never really done it with keeper.

I played goalkeeper to a decent level and I would always do a 12 count in my head when my team was winning a tight game and I only got a yellow one time when I really took the tinkle by throwing my water bottle on it the pitch and stopping my run up to kick because of it lol

You have 5 seconds to take them to the ability to get everyone in the box and then take a long run up is gonna be tough to pull off. So if anything that makes his throws less of a big deal.
Disagree
A full back who can take a long quick throw is brilliant
A CB or CM isnt as they have to get there to take it
Kayodes throws are excellent

It must mean 5 seconds from when someone finally gets over to the ball and starts to line themselves up i.e. they can still spend 30 seconds sauntering over whilst the big lads come up from the back.
It would be very hard to take a corner within 5 seconds of someone deflecting a shot over the bar.

No.
I suspect a focus will be on the wide players playing in the channels and being a front three, but I don't see any pace there.
That looks nice and passy passy, but blunt.
I can't see us going for MGW at all, and especially not if we get Savinho.

That said, it's a blank canvas - we don't really know how RDZ wants to set up yet.

Surely it's 5 seconds from when the whistle is blown?
