***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v Leeds United, Mon May 11th, 8pm, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium***

Within a season of terrible luck there's a few morsels of better luck coming our way. Nothing major but they all help.

Scheduling. By chance... Villa were in a EL semi the weekend before we played them.
Leeds are safe the day before we play them. On balance imo this is a benefit.
Chelsea (who are handily also in a brick storm of a mess) have a Cup final 3 days before we play them .

The schedule has also given us good rest and training time between Villa.....Leeds....Chelsea.

Two night games are better for running your arse off as well (I know it's not got hot, but it could have)
Agree, but we could have our match with Chelsea scheduled 3 hours after their cup final and I'm still it sure we would win...

Tonight, we will know if the win at Villa was down to their schedule of if we have really turned a corner. Only thing that bothers me is that we still have to win and Leeds have been doing extremely well for the past two months. I'd feel fairly confident of a draw, but they have a lot of similarities with that Brighton team we faced last time around.

At least, whatever happens, we will remain in the driving seat for one more week.

I guess the plus side is minus an uncharacteristic Danso error against Brighton, we win that game.

We just have to go for it tonight, go and try and get the win and then Saudi Sportswashing Machine can do us a big favour, I think even West Ham getting a point at the Geordies is fine, we just need to handle our own business and we really don’t want to be going to Chelsea needing something.

We could be leading 4-0 in the 96th minute at Chelsea, and I’d expect a meteor strike before the FT whistle considering the luck we have there.

I’m with you. Was confident after last week’s result but as we’ve gotten closer to kick off I’m getting more nervous. First time since August we had back to back wins. Would we need to go further back for the last time we had back to back good performances?

If we can match the intensity and desire of what we saw at Villa Park I think we’re capable of winning. But it is by no means a given

Add to that that we still haven’t won at home in the PL since December. It shouldn’t really matter, of course.

This feels like a cup final. Time is slow. Bum is squeeking.

Will be there a bit earlier than usual so might wander round to the East stand and lap up some of the atmosphere from the live music.
I find James Black a bit annoying but he’s probably good for a game like tonight to get the atmosphere going pre-match.

Also us playing second to West Ham is likely an advantage as opposed to the other way around.

Forest absolutely smashed Sunderland today. It is between us and West Ham

First time at the lane for me this season (life + property renovation). Beehive in 15 mins, can’t wait!

FWIW I have a good record when I don’t go to matches often… COYS!
This bought a massive bit of nostalgia to me. I`ve said before it was my late Brother in Law who back then was my older sisters boyfriend who first took me to WHL. He was a big drinker and my earliest memories was hanging round various pubs from Severn Sisters all the way up to the Corner Pin near the ground. The Beehive was one of his favourites and its always been a Spurs stronghold. Hanging around with a bottle of coca cola and a bag of crisps while he had a "quick one" brings back memories of happy days.
I`m sure your record is going come good again tonight.
COYS
