***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v Aston Villa, Sun May 3rd, 7pm, Villa Park ***

One of the best things if we survive beyond the obvious for us as a club is to sticking it up all those who have been absolutely bursting to see us relegated. Most fans of other PL clubs want it, even Championship fans singing about playing spurs next season and of course the media wetting themselves at the prospect.

Would be great to be able to tell them all to get back in their box :)....
Don’t take it personally, it would be the same if United, Liverpool, city Arsenal were in our predicament… just comes with the territory

Football punditry has been dumbed down over the years (or maybe it was always like this?) Seems it's more about banter these days with the ex-pros wanting to appear like one of the lads rather
than an intelligent voice.
+ just being controversial / bantering for extra views clicks. There’s also an all-or-nothing trend, teams/players are either amazing or terrible. Marketing I guess.

It hasn’t always been like this. I recently re-watched the full build up to the 1991 cup final and the analysis was actually about the football and not just trying to create a bs narrative.

Oh of course it comes with the territory it's not specific to Spurs - we would be the same were it Man U, Liverpool or whoever. But we should definitely be giving it some back IF we do stay up considering all the digs we've had to take over this horrific period :)....

Im cool with all the noise around this and our relegation battle, its par for the course and we as a club are responsible for the position we are in, can't be crying abou that now.

If we stay up this club needs a massive reset so it doesnt happen again
I actually think it’s helped us and made us more aware of the situation. Tbh I didn’t realise we were such a huge club that literally every football fan is talking about us ;)

I think a cheeky wink would suffice … it’s been wipe your bum clean time for us for some time now … I’d just like it all to be finished now with us not relegated. I wouldn’t be giving it the large one as we certainly don’t deserve to give it.

just to be clear, what are you winking with?

For all the stick that Lange & Vinai have had recently - if people want to start giving the players a pass if we stay up then they are just as bad and will have learned nothing. MAJOR overhaul on and off the pitch is required if we want to move forwards.
I don’t understand how anyone can judge Vinai yet. It will take a lot longer than a year for a CEO to completely change the culture.

That will help for sure, but Xavi is going to take till Xmas to get back up to speed, Maddison can't be trusted to play every week and we don't know if Kulu is ever coming back at this point.

The whole front line needs work on it, I agree we need a new striker, but Tel/Odobert need upgrading on, KRM won't be here and Johnson hasn't been replaced

There is nowhere enough goals in it

Midfield we will need at least 2 in, Biss is off, Pals loan is up and Sarr needs upgrading on

Romero is seemingly off, Dragon needs moving on as well, so we need 2 CBs ( Vuskovic could be one) There are question marks over Udogie staying as well.

Davies will be off

We also need a new first choice keeper.
Do they? Or do they just need to be allowed to continue developing? (same as Bergval and Gray). These players are all at least 4 years from their peak.

BTW, I'm taking full credit for the win yesterday. I went back to the same barstool in the same pub that I watched us win the Europa League in. I went with the same Spurs fan and paid £7 per pint. Haven't set foot in there since last May.
So what you are saying is that this is all your fault?🤣

yesterday we played how you hope would play all season. Tenacious in the press, overloads into the box, Keeping possesion when we needed to calm the game down. Going long when getting pressed ourselves and fighting for the second ball. We shoudl have been 3-0 up at half time. We are still lacking the quality up front with the loss from our injuries. But was good to watch, I was still scared and anxious watching it but not from how we played. De Zerbi has made an impact since the first game. Tudor was an utter mistake. You can see them getting more and more well drilled in his formation and what he wants from them. And all this without Vic, Romero, Maddison, Kulu, Odobert, Solanke, Simons and Kudus. 7/8 players that would be considered starters.
