Thomas Frank - Former Head Coach

It was very poor. But it had been for weeks imo. I'm not sure yesterday's performance was any different to the one vs West Ham, just that Saudi Sportswashing Machine are much better so gave us far less space to build up a head of steam...

I'd really like to know what happened after that West Ham game and before he Dortmund and Burnley ones because all the mood music was that he was an absolute goner then..
The most concerning thing was the results against teams that were also in terrible form......I mean if you're not beating them ....then who are you going to beat?

CLUB STATEMENT - THOMAS FRANK

Wed 11 February 2026, 10:17|Tottenham Hotspur

The Club has taken the decision to make a change in the Men’s Head Coach position and Thomas Frank will leave today.

Thomas was appointed in June 2025, and we have been determined to give him the time and support needed to build for the future together.

However, results and performances have led the Board to conclude that a change at this point in the season is necessary.

Throughout his time at The Club, Thomas has conducted himself with unwavering commitment, giving everything in his efforts to move the Club forward. We would like to thank him for his contribution and wish him every success in the future.
That statement is pretty much telling me that the club wanted to give him time but had to let him go due to the pressure from the stands.

Inevitable. I feel sorry for the next fall guy already.

More important than the next coach is getting to the bottom of nearly 2 seasons of unprecedented injuries. If that situation doesn't change nothing much else will.
The majority out at the moment are impact injuries. Can't really do anything about those, just bad luck. As for the treatment, it's not really possible to say from the outside if it's up to standard but does need to be reviewed.

He’s partly responsible for hiring the people at the club now or sanctioning the hiring of them and setting this in motion. He’s also partly responsible for our method of lurching from managers with completely different styles to the previous guy.

I get that but the timing of his removal was poorly planned. We were off the back of a historically poor league season & had replaced the manager - in these situations you want some form of stability. If Lewis's wanted to make a change they should have done so once we had got ourselves back on secure footing in the league

Fingers crossed we get a new manager bounce against Arsenal …. It could light a fire in the team … but then I realise it’s Spurs .

Just realised that my son must be one of the few season ticket holders who hasn't seen Frank lose a game. He's only been at 3 games but Frank is the only Spurs manager in his time as a supporter who he never saw lose.

Out of interest did we ever get to within 5 points of the relegation zone at any point last season?

We did not. On the 1st of January we were 11th, 9 points clear (24 points after 19 games): https://thfcdb.com/dates/1-january/league-tables?year=2025

On the 11th of February we were 14th, 10 points clear (27 points after 24 games): https://thfcdb.com/dates/11-february/league-tables?year=2025

We then beat Man Utd and Ipswich to go 12th, 16 points clear (33 points after 26 games): https://thfcdb.com/dates/22-february/league-tables?year=2025

We finished 13 points clear: https://thfcdb.com/dates/25-may/league-tables?year=2025

Well that’s on you then. Should have taken him to all the games. Some fans are just not good enough. I solely blame your parenting on this shambles of a club.
