Randal Kolo Muani

£32m would be the amortized figure come summer ‘26 with two years left on contract

But it's an open market and he's a very good player. Other Super League clubs will want him, so we'll have to pay a fair price and hope he's enjoying it here to sway the competition in our direction.

Would they? He doesn't seem to be on the radar of those clubs to me

Well Juve were desperate for him, but couldn't get Vlahovic out the door to raise enough funds. After his performances in Serie A last season, I'm sure all their other big clubs would be keen too. He's also very highly regarded in Germany, if Kane decides to switch to Barca.

Juve brought in 2 players instead of him
But they did want him..

I don't think his performances at Juve would have attracted that sort of interest - 1 in 2 goal rate with the bulk coming in a purple patch. Lots of games without impacting or scoring - he's a player that won't really attract interest from anyone higher in the pecking order for us to worry about. This obviously works in our favour if we think he's worth pursuing - shown some promise so far

If we want to sign him, we would be doing the right thing to do all we can in January to make the deal permanent. He’s more likely to sign whilst he’s here with us.

He is clearly our best fit all round striker, and when and if Solanke returns, the both of them mean that we could move Richarlison on. I do want to see more goals from Kolo Muani but I feel like they will come soon as he has the rest of his game right.

Kelleher is the bravest keeper in the league by far. Will be different when the boys play him a second time!
Or alternatively, receive the ball 16 yards out, take a 4 yard first touch, and be amazed when Kelleher closes you down

Paratici is back so that helps in getting muani over the line.

Richy scored but to me Muani had a greater impact on the game and was attracting most of the attention of the CBs, freeing up space for others

Still fairly early days with him here. 8 starts, and a couple of injury disruptions after joining late and having his preseason disrupted at PSG.

Good reasons to think there's more to come from him. But already looking good, and him being able to play both as a striker and on the left and being a well rounded player makes him a very good fit for our needs imo.

Not sure we'll be in a rush to make it permanent. Let's see what he can do from here and also depends on what we'd have to pay for him.

Dribbling from deep isn't his forte. He needs to be at CF getting the ball with his back to goal, feeding WFs running into the channels.

A side note - Tel's touch is great. The way he was taking those long passes out to him was very impressive.

He has played there quite a few times with Richy on the left... wasn't particularly impressive....

Playing Style

Explosive and direct: Likes to attack defenders at speed, especially on counterattacks.

Space-oriented: Most dangerous when running in behind the defense rather than playing with his back to goal.

Versatile attacker: Can play as a central striker, second striker, or wide forward (especially off the right).

Link-up focused: Comfortable dropping deep to combine before spinning into space.

I've never really considered him a back to goal CF tbh

Is that an AI hallucination?

Running behind a defence is also very different from dribbling from deep. As we've not played a through ball since 2019, no one can really showcase themselves running behind a defence
