i honestly think King and Dawson were more vital to our result today
 
Adebayor struggled a bit but he didnt get any support/service tonight.

He'll be back on form soon, fantastic footballer.

If he could actually pass forward and relieve pressure off the defence we wouldn't have had a backs to the wall game. SO many bad passes forward or easy passes backwards than Jenas would have been slaughtered for; Livermore who is criminally underrated as a footballer was much more composed than him and contributed in a positive fashion. Parker only played well in the last ten minutes when he did what anyone would have done and what Daws does when he plays, which is put his body on the line. Yet Daws gets lots of criticism and Parker is deemed immune to it.

I agree with all of that except the Livermore comment. I, and most of the commentary team, thought he did very well, and is continually improving. Sure, he didn't put in a noticeable, MoM performance, but was solid and reliable, with very few mistakes.

Livermore was great in the first half and was quite quiet in the second. certainly was not shown as out of his depth by any stretch
 
I absolutely agree with hotspurgirl - Ade hasnt been at the races for the last few games. Not leading the line like he did earlier in the season. Not even competing for some balls in the air. Hold up play was worse than Pav today - and that is saying something! Needs a hairdryer from Harry or else we start with Saha next time.

Did you watch the game? I assume not, because he really did not get the ball passed into his feet very often.

Parker- 6- Extremely brave put his body on the line, but not on the same level as other players when it came to actually playing football. Time and time again he put team mates under pressure. Some good blocks, but some awful clearances and decision making when he had time on the ball in our box to clear it or find a man

Livermore- 8 challenged well not phased, kept his composure and one of the only players to keep possession well.

Kranjcar- 6.5 worked hard in defence nothing came off in attack.
Modric- 7 - industrious but should have taken more risks int he second hald
Bale- 6 - Didn't work as hard but liverpool had 3 men on him at all times and were very rough.

Ade- 5 - off his game today, not good with back to goal

Saha - n/a - at least he turned up which is more than what Pav has done recently.

Who can remember one thing that Ade did well today? Bale was fully involved and even though it wasnt one of his best games he had three strikes on goal and was surrounded by three Liverpool thugs at all times. Remember it was his brilliant run to beat the offside trap in the first place which created the chance for himself.
