I don’t think calling people sheep is to that extent it’s a figure of speech, but take it to that extreme if it suites. You will of course know that one step on the road to fascism is the dehumanisation of the other, often labelling them as an animal. So maybe stop calling people sheep. Besides being a mischaracterisation of the contributers to this board, it is also rude.
That’s what I think too.I don’t think calling people sheep is to that extent it’s a figure of speech, but take it to that extreme if it suites.
I know you are only using it as a figure of speech, but maybe don't be so keen to paint contributors to the discussion in such broad strokes.I don’t think calling people sheep is to that extent it’s a figure of speech, but take it to that extreme if it suites.

Only in your herd mentality mate. What my stance on sharia being a Stone Age honophobic, misogynistic practice that has no place in any civil society? Or not accepting the stuff that you peddle about Middle Ages white people? Or even calling a spade a spade. Its because Gazza is right and everyone else on the forum is sheep and are ganging up on the perpetual victim. In his mind anyway. He can't see that his views are genuinely nonsense or entirely unintelligible.
Let’s stick to your point. I apologise if English is not your native tongue, but comparing people to sheep is genuinely a figure of speech and it’s quite a stretch to get to your conclusion of it relating to fascism.I know you are only using it as a figure of speech, but maybe don't be so keen to paint contributors to the discussion in such broad strokes.

You make me laugh, asked not to engage but here you are. What’s next another random twitter post taken as gospel?
i guess you have no comment about the East London mosque banning women participating in a charity event that was enjoyed by men at the tax payers expense.
there is no way Labour will get that many seats.
Well it made the national news and not some random bozo posting on Twitter from erm I don’t know not LutonFFS i am not from East London. Or from that mosque.
Not much a of stretch really, as in one sentence you were banging on about fascist Germany in rather simplistic terms and in the next calling everyone sheep. There was a subtle irony to that which I intimated in my reply, but maybe it was too subtle as you have taken it literally. I concluded nothing by the way, except you were being rude. And as I pointed out I knew you were using the sheep thing just as a figure of speech. I too apologise if English is not your first language.Let’s stick to your point. I apologise if English is not your native tongue, but comparing people to sheep is genuinely a figure of speech and it’s quite a stretch to get to your conclusion of it relating to fascism.
But you are not that special in this respect, many people are offended by much these days.
And of course I know my comments may not be palatable or sit well will people that may say my comment about sheep is highly offensive, but genuinely I’m not pandering. The extremes people go to these days to be offended is almost a hobby.

So a few people keep saying and it's up against the stupidity of those who voted for LabourAll I ever hear about Reform is that they are lead by lying, cheating, Brexiting, Putin-puppet, uber-racist Nigel Farage. And have plenty of other racists in their ranks like Lee Anderson, Rupert Lowe et al.
So I had assumed they would only be liked by racists and ignorami. And now I see Reform are doing really well in polling.
So I guess more of the country is racist/ignorant than I had feared?

Oh no I’m just highlighting the equalities champion that you are not being able to comprehend what else is happening in the world of injustice equality and whatever else.
Oh gawd.....that's @Rorschach giving you the stinkeye from now on!I just want to assure you that I believe everyone here is very clear that you are direct and forthright in expressing your opinions in whichever way you see fit and necessary to make your point, and that includes not pandering to any other feelings, perspectives, or interpretations of what you express.
Have no fear of anyone misconstruing that.
And we're now back at comparing people to sheep...it's a lazy and somewhat igorant societal attempt to colloquilise 'herd mentality' (frankly, you'd be as accurate to simply say 'humans' given the appalling levels of 'herd mentality' which seem to sweep through humanity from time to time). IF you're seeking accuracy in your opinions, just use the term 'herd mentality' because as I've already explained, using 'sheep' is the metaphor is inaccurate, regardless of how it has somehow become a recognised 'figure of speech'...(again, I happen to love sheep - there again I like animals in general, so no huge surprise there)...
