I'd take Sander Berge too. He's patrolling the midfield like a boss, both for Norway and Fulham. He's become a really good player. You hardly notice him, but he's there mopping up any danger.

Yup. He's been ace lately. Was really good today.
 
I've disliked international football for so long, but it's at least an arena where you just field the best of what you got and you can't buy players to bolster certain areas. It will obviously favour nations with large populations, but at least there are no wages or oil money to fudge it up. It's straight up and no hiding.

Norwegian media bigging up Norway to beat Italy tonight, as they always do when we've beaten Luxembourg or someone 5-0 away and Slovenia or someone at home. An inevitable 3-0 loss incoming.

Definitely. Could use a better keeper, and a CB pairing of the old Berg/Johnsen mould, but there's plenty reasons for being optimistic about this team. Hopefully we can finally reach a major tournament again.
