Son Heung-Min

Good on him. You can sense that he’s steaming. There is one point I slightly disagree with him and most of the analysis of us. For sure, we could score more and be more ruthless.

The bigger problem for me is at the back. We’re conceding more than 2 goals a game. You can’t rely on scoring 3 to win a game. In all 5 games recently, we’ve scored enough goals to win games and put ourselves in positions to win games and we’ve been, as Sonny said, too soft. Whether that’s all down to absentees remains to be seen but conceding like we are isn’t sustainable.
Not sure. We've only scored once in 4 of the last 5 matches. Emirates Marketing Project was the first time since Burnley that we scored more than 2. So finishing is very much a problem for me, especially when you look at possession and shot counts.

We all know the longer a game stays at 1-0, the more the opposition is going to get into it, so we need to be killing them off early - you can't be planning to win 1-0 every match. It doesn't take much to shift the momentum of a game, as we've seen with Wolves, Villa and West Ham.

The team is also still very much adapting to this style, combined with a really thin squad means that lately, we've looked very tired in the latter stages in my opinion. Compare that to Sheffield United, Arsenal and Liverpool when we really kept going right to the end.

Fair enough. But for me, you need to be able to eke out 1-0 wins to be anywhere near the top of the table. I’ve always felt that if you concede two goals in any game, you’re relying a lot on luck to get a result. We need to tighten up at the back IMO.

Definitely don't disagree with that. But West Ham on another day ends 1-0 or 2-0 -- those are two criminally poor/unlucky goals to give up, and they created nothing else. Wolves, we're a few minutes away from a 1-0. So I think you're right, but we need more matches to be able to say whether there is a defensive issue or not.

I think this has been a knock of the injuries and us adapting to system, (to your point, I agree) we have looked like we are shattered at the end of a lot of these games

Son looked broken at the end of game, took a knock as well.

fudgein tinkles me off that this guy decides to carry on playing despite his own body. Just sit the fudge down if you can't contribute for a game or two

Usually I'd agree, but this season is an absolute goal fest wherever you turn.
It feels like FIFA has finally got their way and sanitised to rules to create more goals

We can’t keep on conceding like we have
It’s toxic for the team knowing that we can crumble too easily
But we also have to step that conversion rate because scoring more is how you win… it’s that simple

South Korea manager, Jurgen Klinsmann, confirms Heung-Min Son will NOT be available for Tottenham Hotspur from January 2nd to potentially February 10th as he will be competing in the Asia Cup with South Korea.

Excellent out on the left, had Trippier on toast.
I'm liking the front 4 like this (Deki behind Son Richy Johnson)
I also like Bissouma and Sarr behind.
I also like our full backs, so the team is looking pretty nice now, just need a better bench asap.

In his post-match interview, Son was wearing a coat with initials SDP, who is that?
