***** OMT Tottenham v Manchester United *****

I'd quite like a relegation battle! Might be the only thing to wake Levy up to the absolute cluster fudge the last 2 years have been.
And Mr Levy might do well not to patronise us with his Spurs DNA letter and then spend months looking for a manager to then appoint mini Mourinho.
I'm just venting really but I've held off on Nuno because he's been given an impossible job but fudge me he is not helping himself, fudging misery ball!! Aaaaghh!!! Absolute fudging brickshow!

Pretty sure Levy is primarily focussed on Stadium Revenue spreadsheets...
Does losing matter so much if we make an extra £Xm per boxing match?

I'm pro Levy, but his sack timings are awful, Graham just before the chance to get one over on arsenal in the fa cup, Jol in the middle of a game, Jose on ESL day, AVB at all. Poch about 6 months to late*.

In hindsight I'd say Poch was clearly being undermined by the players too, as the clams are still at it, but he'd clearly long given up anyway.

far too pedestrian in build up play, everyone knows what we are trying to do and it's easy to pack defenses against us, we don't punish teams unless we play through fast

the finishing from united to day though was top class, quality - our back line was exposed very quickly and we had no idea how to stop getting cut open by their movement on and off the ball

I thought we mostly sounded out of work managers such as Conte, Nuno and Fonseca ( not sure if he was out of work tbf)
I think Fonseca was out of work too. These all were spoken to, after Rodgers, Ten Hag and one or two others in work clearly weren’t happening. We can criticise the chairman for a lot, but I don’t think a willingness to pay compensation for a coach is one of them…..

Kick up the backside, he said, not snide briefing to favoured journalists.

Yeah Jose *used* to do this in the old days, but never seemed truly passionate about being manager here (more concerned about his own reputation imo). That's what we need someone with passion that won't accept a lack of effort.

Nuno strikes me as someone who would apologise for catching his wife in bed with another man.

I don’t think that’s accurate. We quite clearly sounded out the likes of Rodgers, but they weren’t interested. The ones who were interested were out of work surprise surprise :D….
Rodgers keeps going the he is at Leicester and he might be begging us for a job.

Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo to Sky Sports: "Poor performance. Not too many words. We didn't play good. United were stronger than us.

"We conceded in poor ways, lost balls, allowed counter-attacks. We couldn't break them. They were organised.

"The last pass was never there, the finish was never there. Bad performance."

How can they improve? "Trying, supporting players, finding solutions. No other way. We have to work harder.

"We have to take the best of all our players. Not focusing on Harry [Kane]. We have to support them, help them, try to make them believe they're better than today."

On fans booing: "We are not on the right track. This season is part of football. The fans suffer when you're not performing well. They have showed they're not happy. We keep on trying."

Anyone coming in at this point would be a punt anyway, so just give some young tactical genius the job.

It’s pretty clear that the players (most of them) aren’t doing a jot under these defensive manages. They tried a little under Jose probably out of respect but it’s been going further and and further backwards.

Im convinced they would up their game if an attacking manager was recruited who came with fresh ideas. Maybe that’s wrong and people will say they should try regardless but that’s their prerogative and there’s hardly a queue of quality waiting to come in from the bench.
