***Spurs v spammers***

The smart thing to do is what other side's do and that is to get the player in before you sell. Whether that's the same window or more ideally an earlier window so there is some overlap. That's what the likes of Athletico and Lyon typically do. But we don't, I guess because we know better. [emoji52]
But to replace Kane costs you £75m alone
Unless you completely change style
We don’t have that money as shown by the loans to buy
What needed to happen was city bid the money they knew we wanted (it was communicated enough) and we would have IMO brought two players
I do think in January we will get in a striker whose contract risk out new summer, Belotti at a bargain price

I don't know about you guys, but this period is weird. Nuno isn't a Spurs manager, and everyone knows it. Feels like everyone, players, fans and club is just waiting for it to end. Seems like a totally wasted season.

Yep it feels that way. The football is dull and devoid of speed or any creativity. The exact opposite of what Levy promised us. We werent terrible today and probably deserved a point but we could be there until next Sunday and wouldn't have scored. That's why Saudi Sportswashing Machine meant nothing. Once we came up against an organised team, Nuno's dull football was never going to result in goals. And we'll come up against more teams like West Ham than those who play like Saudi Sportswashing Machine.

Doesn't help when it looks like a few players have little belief in what we are doing.

Kane was stood like a statue while Antonio stuck out a leg.

Also, the ball just cleared Moura and Skipp before dropping for Antonio. Why have 2 of our shortest players on the near post? Anyone else would have got something on it.

Moura is very good in the air, leaps high and battles. Far from a silly choice for the near post. Skipp, I really can't comment on

just too slow passing around a packed box, we lack speed, movement and urgency - they are happy to let us play with the ball in front of them, we aren't breaking their packed lines or getting our fullbacks behind them

too static in attack
This. No width on the right, no movement, no brains, all in front of Wet Spam.

Its a transition season. We need another window to ship out 3-4 and bring 3-4 in

Nuno wasnt in our top 5, possibly top 10, choices for manager. If he fails, we hope that we can find a more appoprioate option. He's on a relatively cheap contract so easy to fire

Good grief 4 London derbies and we have lost them all. Surely we have some acadamy players who would give a better showing than the likes of Moura and Bergwijn to name just 2. We just dont move the ball quick enough when we need to. So frustrating watching this team at the moment. But the Spammers are well organised and are hard to beat even if they are not that spectacular.
The trouble with Spurs are we always hang on to players for too long. Any other team in our position would have cashed in on Kane early in the window and got at least 2 quality players in to rebuild with. Thats apart from fringe players like Winks etc who we could get 20 mil for. Trouble is top quality players dont want to play for mid table teams
Does Watford not count as a London derby? I don’t know about you, but I tend to not take everything Sky Sports commentators say as gospel….

The team looks like a reflection of Nuno. Too nice, too slow in decision making, too laid back and generally unconvincing.

Must say, I’ve been critical over the seasons of Dier because of his constant brain farts but again today I thought he looked solid. In fact defensively in general we definitely look a more secure unit. That at least is something.

Second half was disappointing, but don’t think it was all that bad. If Kane and others had a better final ball we could have really been in business.

This place has a habit of making out like the world is about to end after a defeat. Yet last time I checked we are 2points off 4th and are more than capable of righting the wrongs in reverse fixtures against Arsenal and West Ham at home. It’s all to play for this season still….

Watford in no more London than Liverpool or Manchester. Oh wait that was a tongue in cheek remark! I thought we had all had our sense of humour removed by watching Spurs this season
Must say I’ve been one of Diers

Change the CM partnership and/or bring a creator into the front 3. Then, assuming coached properly, we'd look 100% better

I wouldn’t take Skipp out. I think defensively, he’s our best midfielder. That means dropping PEH and that would be a big call.

I’d give GLC a chance in there. Maybe give Gil a run rather than Lucas for a bit? There are no easy answers. I’d also like to see Ndombele take people on a bit more. He is gifted at holding onto the ball but often he’s just laying it off or going backwards. Would love to see him try and dribble through the lines a bit more because he has the ability to do it.

Potter really needs a charm offensive.

I agree
We need that extra CF, a RWF and decide what we’re doing with Rodon as a CB option
If we’re keeping Tanguy and Gio we need to play one of them and stick with them in that role at 10 (Lo Celso for me but I know no one agrees)
We have Sarr coming in next season to play CM
We only have Lucas who seems happy play RWF and he was awful today

Dier was better than Romero today but Romero looks better because of his aggressive style. Romero made a couple of bad mistakes by being a bit brainless and picked up an unnecessary booking (albeit it was harsh). Dier made one mistake I remember where he let the ball drop and Hugo bailed him out. Aside from Skipp and maybe Hugo, he was our best player.

You play Tanguy in cM with skipp vs weaker sides and Lo Celso at 10
Tanguy had a good frost half but drifted Bain second half but I thought they would dominate CM and the ball (which they didn’t)
