He's one of our own, he's one of our own, Ryan Mason, he's one of our own.

Despite what I really think, I'm dreaming of Ryan being the man to carry us to the glory Poch was just shy of. Would restore all my faith in professional football.

I can dream for the next few days anyway.
Maybe in as assistant of the next manager and eventually replace him?

Sounds like a great game of football

It’s not about Mourinho, it’s about the players. We don’t have a good enough squad to compete at the top, nothing tonight changed that. We were poor for long periods, with a few decent pieces of play within the 90 minutes and thankfully Soton tired massively....
Not under any illusion that we were brilliant this evening, we have been poor for a long time, before Jose. But Jose is one big ego, Bale wouldn't have started tonight had he still been in charge.

I am genuinely terrified of Sunday. Cant help having a little hope as a fan though. But it’s that hope that will kill me.
COYS.

I expect us to struggle badly on Sunday. I think Mason, with his lack of experience, will struggle against the better teams. Happened to Tactics Tim and happened to OGS at United.

But I think if he can get us playing with some freedom and confidence, he has a really good shot at picking up a lot of points because, looking at our fixture list, we've better players than most of the teams we have left.

I still hope for Sunday though. fudge it, if you don't have hope, you may as well give up supporting Spurs.

Ndombele going off improved us, didn't notice Winks at all. Modric always looks like he has more time than everyone else because he's always aware of where everyone is. Ndombele only switched on when he had the ball at his feet, which is a second too late.

he's developed a habit of getting the ball in space and standing still until an opponent arrives

I hate to think the stick he would get if he was left footed

We were missing the focal point of our attack though

You're telling me you don't think these players could have done any better than they have this season? Even the slightest of improvements would have us looking a good bet for top 4 which is all anyone has said we should be in doing...

In a way its a free hit - no-on expects us to win. But tonight's win also means that even if we lose as expected, we still have something to play for this season
