That was a little weird at the end. Dean said something though as Poch was walking away and they both, Poch and Jesus, came back and said 'you can't say that'

This! We've edged these type of games so many times you just can't say it's "typical". And all this talk of the title again, so ridiculous, we're not going to win it this year, but I think we can do it within the next 5-10 years. :) Top 4 still well within our grasp, and that's really more than you can wish for from a team playing all their matches away.

This will probably get buried but I'm really curious. Have we ever been top, in the season with Leicester, the one after with Chelsea? I can't remember us going top at all. We certainly haven't been top this season and unless you go top at least for a while, you're not in a title race. Not for me.

We didn’t lose because of dean and both sides gained from his incompetence

But he has cost us before

I'm sure he has (though, taking into account we all have an element of confirmation and recall bias when it comes to our teams, I'm sure he's also cost other teams against us) but today wasn't down to the ref. If we're being kind, at least half of the team today were brick. Nowhere near their usual quality. Nowhere near their usual energy or fight either.

Burnley outfought us but actually I can't remember we exactly created many chances either. Very disappointed.

All we had to do was win every game to finish about City.

And we failed at step one against a pub team.

It’s fudging infuriating.
All we had to do was win every game?! As if it’s that simple:D This league is ridiculously competitive even the poor teams can still beat top teams on their day. City lost to Saudi Sportswashing Machine for example. City and Liverpool won’t win the rest of their games, what makes you think we’re so good that we would?! We are the third best team in the league and were due a defeat....

I'm struggling to think of the worst player from our team today tbh. I initially think Aurier or Sissoko but then remember how anonymous Eriksen, Son and Winks were for this match or how many good positions Rose wasted. How often Foyth invited pressure.

Very poor all round really.
Thought Sissoko at least put in some decent balls from the right which we didn't make the most of.

Anyone know why Dean made Lloris retake that goal kick?

He’d played it to Aurier but then had to go long and they scored from it.

Just not true, every week it is like this, we have a sniff. We usually win. Then you put the sniff back a week. We will lose and drop points sometimes, we are a top four team not a title winning team.

You don’t factor pressure into the equation. When we play our game we are as good as anyone. When we have any real chance of glory - semis, finals, chance to go top or close to it, we just don’t turn up.

Oh well, bad day at the office and not helped by a poor display from officials.

Only silver lining is that surely the players won’t (be allowed to) perform that badly in consecutive matches and hopefully we’ll get rub of the green against Chavs and Goons.

Wasn't tactical I don't think today, just hard to play against a long ball merchant team that time waste and frustrate and foul but get away with it. Sean Dyche has no tactics other than to hoof, and be ultra physical ie dirty as fcuk. Bet he's a right clam to have a drink down the pub with.

There should be a rule that come the end of the season the team with the most fouls and least attractive football should be thrown out of the league or demoted. Has to be in that combination and there should be a score system in place that rates teams each match.

Nope, not top at any point. From what I remember, I don't think we were ever closer than 4-5 points vs Chelsea the whole season. I never thought that was a proper title race tbh and we lost any chance of that title in the first half of the season.

Against Leicester, I think there was a week when we were playing before them twice in a row and both times had the chance to go top....and both times drew the game. That for me, regardless of what anyone says, was about bottle. I don't think we ever bottled anything in the Chelsea season.

My take is we were never in the league title due to Arsenal and wolves defeats.
All the Sky claptrap should be ignored!

I think we have the best squad and the best manager, not winning it would be a failure.
