The Official 2018/19 Premier League Thread

The season really starts after this international break. Hopefully we can get some injured players back and we will be ready to take them all on.

Need it with Chelsea and Arsenal back to back

I fancy us to beat Arsenal, they look vulnerable to counter attacks and I think we can hurt them. Chelsea I'm not so confident about, but no reason why we can't win that one either really. An opportunity to open up a gap on them both.

Wolves should have won! They had THREE good chances to take all the points in the last five minutes!

Yep. I think I'm right in saying that we play weekend and midweek from now til 5th Jan, with a number of big games in there, so definitely need players back soon. Main concerns for me are Winks, given Dembele wont be available to rotate with him, and obviously Kane. Most other positions we have options to be able to rotate easily

We need to up our game massively to get anything out of either.

I think City are not as good as last season or as good as ‘pundit land’ prattles on about.
I just think their attacking options and ability to rotate puts them in a strong position, in cup games the defence can be exposed but it would take something exceptional for a team with CL distractions to put them under any kind of pressure where they may choke, especially if they are involved late on in the CL and put their eggs innyhst basket.

Their ability to buy top players and not use them like Otamendi is where their wealth tips the balance. Thier squad depth and quality is where they put ‘normal teams’ in the shade. But I’m not seeing a Barcelona mkII in thier pomp or anything like that quality. Pep must be getting ready to retire and play golf probably once they win the champions league.

Chelsea don't look that great to me. Morata and Giroud are low level threats compared to the likes of Aguero and Mane/Salad. If we harass Jorginho we can get at them. Glad we're at 'home' for this one. Get a win against the Chavs and the Arse game is a lot less pressure.

I have to disagree. They looked pretty decent yesterday to me. The only real mistake was not picking up Lukaku who had just come on to concede the penalty.

Sterling looks fantastic.

And they lost at home to United last year.

City will win the league by ten points plus.

+32 goals after 12 games...

I agree with “pretty descent” and so they should be.
But not as good as they probably should be with thier resources.

If they're 'pretty descent', on that scale the rest of us are bang average.

They'll walk the league again....so much so they'll be able to focus on the CL....the prize they (the club) really want.

I seem to say it every week, but I'm not sure how much longer the Fulham coach will last -- they have spent over £100m in the summer to produce the worst performing team in the league. They are so soft.

Its self destructive, I cant fathom what he is thinking.

They have a pretty decent squad, when you look at it. Good enough to stay up. And yet look at them!?

Why isnt he just working on keeping it tight, with a settled side?

Everton play some decent stuff. Just need to tighten up.

I like Silva, am very interested to see how he gets on at Everton. Could be a prospect when Poch moves on IMO.

Horrible brickclams aren't they

I really like Lookman

I love that I can read that as if there were no filter. Does make me wonder if I swear too much though!
