Here's a chance to list all the things you want to do or achieve over the next 12 months. Then in a year from now you can give yourself a pat on the back or a kick up the arse depending on how well you did.

Here are mine so far, i'll add more to my list when I can think of anything...

    Get a passport.
    Lose 4 stone in weight.
Sing at a karaoke in public.
Play at least 10 rounds of golf.

They can be as serious or as silly as you like.

Go to the USA to do football coaching and get some contacts (in progress)
Get a full-time job doing something that I enjoy
Gain a stone of muscle over the course of the year (one pound per month is realistic)
    Start learning German
Get a 2:1 in my degree
Have sex with a least 12 more women

How do you go about doing coaching over there? Do you have to get certain badges first or just mention you're from the same country as Beckham?

My mate is currently doing this in New York.

I'll ask him to write up some notes on his experience if you like

My only resolution-y type thing will be to read the lord of the rings. Never really got round to it and it seems silly for someone who professes to love LOTR as much as I do to have not read it.

That is a pretty serious statement of intent there James, how on earth are you going to gather the funds for 12 or more prostitutes? ;)

That would be great. Always wanted to do something like that but I feel like i'm a million miles away from ever giving it a go.

You have to flirt with the Yank woman who owns it, and see if you can bowl her over with your British accent. Nah, you need an FA level one badge minimum requirement, then I went through the company UK International Soccer Camps to get out there and coach. You don't need much experience, but the experience itself will be great - as will the connections made and for the CV.

The west coast mate. I start off in Cali and will be working my way down and going to some adjacent States. I'm not particularly sure where yet as the plan hasn't been given and it's quite flexible. Really looking forward to it! Gonna start off in San Fran and spend a few days there or by L.A. before my contract starts

So, you get your badges and then this company UK International Soccer Camps just set up a few dates/weeks for you to go out there and coach? Seems quite easy tbh (after getting all the qualifications and badges etc.).. Sounds fun!
