World Cup 2018 Group B (Portugal, Spain, Morocco, Iran)

The penalty for Iran was very, very soft IMO. Clearly no pen for me, from the VAR replay.

Good use of VAR for Spain's equalizer though.

VAR is quite annoying, but it's getting a fair share of calls correct now - get those numbers even more up and the time spent on pausing the game, and we might be onto something.

Iran lack mental strength, relying too much on thier imaginary friend and have a total lack of any inner strength!
Portugal players are bunch of cheaters.

No way that was a penalty, it's supposed to be clear and obvious to overrule anyway. Portugal must be gutted, now have to play Uruguay.

Watched Portugal Iran. Radio rental. Great theatre, and all thanks to VAR. I think this is my favourite WC ever.

Well you may be interested to know that Drury Lane are planning a new production, its my favourite buttplug and its going to be called VAR, they did want Brian Rix to be the major star but of course he is not able to.

Pique getting away with a horrible two footed lunge, while the Moroccans get booked for every little foul.

Its been a feature of a good few games Ive seen this tournament, that one-sided refereeing, very odd.

VAR is taking over the whole narative of the game now. Right or wrong it is ruining the game IMO.

Its a novelty, and the biggest change in the game since I dont know when, of course it is the focus of conversation - what did you expect?

Not sure its ruining anything though, seems a bit dramatic.

Portugal were very fortunate to draw with Iran and progress to the Second Round. Iran played well and could have scored a few goals if they had a decent striker. It was a brilliant long range goal by Portugal but Iran did well to draw albeit with a soft penalty. Nothing went right for Ronaldo as he missed a penalty and was also fortunate not to get red carded for elbowing. Portugal didn't look convincing in any of their matches so far. Won't be surprised if Uruguay beat Portugal in the Second Round.

Spain has looked out of sorts ever since sacking their manager. They should blame Real Madrid for poaching their manager just before the World Cup started. Spain were very fortunate not to lose all 3 of their matches so far. Apart from Portugal, Iran and Morocco could have easily beaten Spain if they had made use of their chances. But with Spain winning their group, they are now in the easier part of the knockout stages. Based on current standings, only Croatia, Mexico and Belgium are the strongest teams in their part of the knockout stages.
