I realise there's a lot of dumbasses in the US (and everywhere else, to be fair), but it seems to be almost a tribal thing over there now - either you're this or you're that. It seems like all the maniacal things he says on a daily basis don't really affect any of his supporter's view of him. They only want to believe the reality their Facebook feed is no doubt giving them.

Identity politics/culture war. Divide people on cultural issues and get them to vote against their economic interests. His base is solid on 40-45%, can Biden unify the rest?
