The Official 2022/23 Premier League Thread

Added time is meant to do that already. The ref is meant to stop the clock for injuries, subs, corners, free kicks, throwins etc... Obviously they are not doing it properly as we get on average 4 mins. So who's to say if we drop it to 60 mins they do it properly then?
Absolutely not. You're totally wrong. You are not supposed to add time for every time the ball is out of play. It's not supposed to be 2x45 minutes of effective play time. You are supposed to add time for any lengthy spell where the ball is out of play, such as injuries and substitutions and obvious time wasting.

You are correct to a point.

There is natural time allowed for when the ball is out of play. When it exceeds that, time is meant to be added.

The organisation even allowed a certain amount of ‘natural’ time before it was adding time to their stoppages. The ‘natural’ time was based on the average length of time taken for each activity, which were as follows:

Event Average Time Taken In Seconds
Throw-in 20
Warning 30
Goal-Kick 30
Corner Kick 45
Free-Kick 60
Penalty 60
Altercation 30
Arguing With Offical 30

Iirc, the added time for a goal celebration excludes the first 20 seconds, i.e. none if the restart is within 20s (which has probably never happened in the PL era).

Ooh. Rape case involving 29 year old Preemeer leaguer and international footballer in NORF London.

We've already danced down one assault case tightrope this window. Any speculation on this miscreant?

Obviously we can't and won't mention names.

On a separate note - anyone know what S Club 7 are up to these days?

Soon be with us, got an email from my cousin saying he was going to Albion Rovers tomorrow to see his team Livingston in Scots League Cup, excepting a big crowd maybe 1500.

Evvitt'n. Ready for another relegation battle. Help is not at hand. Who would want to join this shambles of a club?

At some point soon, Goodison is going to go apeschit and become a negative factor. Going down might well be the tough love solution.
