I'm not sure there is a need to think about whether he's better deeper or further forward, I kinda just want him 'in there' doing his stuff....ditto lo Celso

When Kane Bale Ndombele play we truly have 3 of the best decisive (that's the important bit) passers in world football.

    Spot on.

Been comparing him to other players back and forth on here as I think the Dembele comparison is a bit lazy.

The player he's currently reminding me a bit of is Zidane.

Mourinho seemingly played a blinder with his handling of him. Love and admonishment in equal measure. Full credit to the player for his response though.

The player has learned himself of what he needed to do
Worked hard, got fit, got matches and started to shine

Ndomb, on form and fit and motivated, is such a hunk of burning love. His vision, balance, creativity, deftness of touch, strength, and ability to do the unexpected are marvelous talents. Long may he hunk of burning love our midfield.

A slight pity that he won't even get credited with an assist after this glorious line-breaking run!

Imagine how good he'll be once he's had the 2 years it was said it would take to get him to his best

I've been trying to hold it in but from the very first game for us Vs Villa I've thought that he is potentially the most talented CM in the PL and I'm really not the type to hype but his talent level is ridiculous. Fantastic dribbling coupled with fantastic vision and passing in an orthodox CM! It's such a rare combination of attributes to have at a high level in a single player.

He is far from orthodox, which is why it works

Hmm you're right but what I mean is that he's a player that is ostensibly a CM yet has the attributes of an ACM. Not that he is the typical up and down b2b player.

I saw him kill city in the CL playing with a DM behind him in a 4-4-2 IIRC. What he did was keep the ball. It’s simple but incredibly hard to do. Then he gained the simple yards by being able to run with it
Back then though I didn’t see a passing range which almost feels like it’s come form nowhere
It’s why he works at the top of the midfield 3
Now he is also tackling and appears to be enjoying that side of the game it’s a step up
Be really interesting to see what Chelsea try to do to stop him on Sunday

I reckon they'll have Kante on him like a rash. Which just means more space for Kane to drop between the lines.

Good luck to Kante, he twists and turns in a way I don't even know if he knows which direction he'll end up facing. Fast becoming our first name in midfield along with Hojberg.
