Those were the games we had coming up. I'd rather see us shoot fish in a barrel than try to shoot fish in a barrel, miss the barrel and shoot our own foot off.

The upcoming games will obviously prove a much harder test. I'm glad we're going into that with 1 goal conceded in 3 league games rather than a worse record.

There's a lot left to be proved this season, because it's November.

I don’t get what you want from the defence? They done what you said should have been easily done and the Keeper was hardly tested in either game. Surely if its easily done and we done it with relative ease then the job was done?

Seems like the same logic as fans moaning about strikers who score alot of goals against small teams. Like they are supposed to not score against them.

I think with Lo Celso his final third play hasn’t been spectacular but I’m thinking of him as more of a cm whose best work will come from deeper areas, so more of a Modric than Eriksen imo. Pre injury he stood out in a dysfunctional team in his first season in a new league, so lots to be positive about there. Ndombele also seems better deeper albeit with a better final pass so maybe we need to look at the two of them combining to help us resist the press and make quick transitions to counter rather than hitting 20 goals a season from midfield.

That post was at the end of a discussion being had with regards to tightening the defense up at the expense of the attack - quoted out of context sure it seems harsh but the point being made was that we were playing two of the worst attacks in the league and i was questioning whether we really needed to sacrifice our attacking play to be defensively solid against such teams.

You see GLC bullying Yaya Toura off the ball like it's nothing?

Is Yaya playing this coming weekend? I think he's still sulking about his birthday cake.

They gave him a punch laced with LSD rather than booze this time, it's just about done the job - Pep is on a vibe too

Hopefully the international break came at a good time for him and we'll set his fitness levels improve further. Would love to see him be ready for a full, or at least close to full, at some point game in the coming weeks. Would give us more options since him being subbed has been close to inevitable this season.

Also would give him more of a chance to impact games in the way only he does. Could be vital in the upcoming run of tough fixtures.

Can't wait to see more of his magic.

Watched some of the behind the scenes footage released by the club today, he looks so happy.. Big contrast to his languid warm-ups when he first arrived, he looks much more settled now.

Hope he smashes it up tomorrow.

Sexy assist for Son’s opener, even Jamie “I’m not bitter that Levy sacked my dad” Redknapp eulogised it at half time!

That pass was pure sex. Completely nonchalant.
