This is a mistake, there is an absolute world beater in there.

    You're probably right.
I like him, great when confident but wants to go so...

Conte just doesn't seem to rate or trust him. So if hes not going to use him over even Moura we should sell and let him get on with it somewhere else. Might end up another Kanoute but sometimes it happens.

Where do you play him though? He's not going to be happy with being a bit part player at this stage and he's well behind Kane, Son and Kulusevski. At best, he's 5th choice which is no good for him.

Thanks for the cameo against Leicester and for being a bit better than the N'winger signings and all the best tearing it up in the Dutch league.

At CF, regularly, resting Kane to get a full season out of both of them.

In a properly balanced squad everyone is a bit part player.

Never going to happen. Kane plays a minimum of 70% to 80% of the games in any scenario. Bergwijn, at this stage, can’t settle for that little playing time.

Not to mention the furore amongst fans and media the first game we lose with Kane on the bench and Stevie up front not scoring.

As good as Stevie is, he isn’t in Kane’s league. Richarlison is a very good signing for the reason you state. Even if he’s fourth choice, he can play a lot of games by covering any of the front 3. And we always have Moura in reserve who seems happy to be fifth choice for another season.

good deal all around I think. He will he sold in the future for a higher fee I think. Thought he was a decent player but not at that elite level of Kane or son to warrant him starting. He had a few seasons to own the third and final spot but ultimately was not fancied. He must have seen kulu killing it and rightly so wanted to leave, as that was the nail in the coffin.

good player, bags of potential and seems like a nice lad for not kicking up a fuss publicly. All the best and I hope that you get your rewards with Ajax.

Think he could become very good, but I also think there’s stuff going on behind the scenes. Conte just didn’t trust him.

Definitely agree. With Kulusevski hitting the ground running, us wanting and getting another high level forward in Richarlison him staying around was never really an option I think.

Seems we've gotten a pretty good deal for him. I think he has real talent and a shame it didn't work out even better for him here, but that's football.

    Good luck and thanks.

Think it was just wobbly mentality. Lots of talent, but perhaps just not the resilience to drive through that final hurdle.

Yep, what i would call a typical Tottenham player, a settler.
We are better than that now, finally.

If this is true, we need to pump the brakes on the Bergwijn transfer. The cheek of Ajax...
