Soundbars/bases

Anyone got one?

Like the idea of improving my TV audio, but don't really want the faff/wires of a receiver & individual speakers. Any recommendations?

I got an orbitsound with a sub, had it a couple of years and still impressed. Not high end, but does for me. Think it cost me £240 at the time.

I got a Sonos soundbar, the quality is amazing. Very crisp, good level of bass, speech still sounds really good etc. Downside is it costs £600 but no wires and can use for music etc (though sound isn't as good for general music - I guess thats because I have an optical out from my TV to the sound bar). Luckily I had a load of vouchers from work so didn't have to pay much for it, I think if I didn't then I would have gone elsewhere.

Overall the Sonos is a superb piece of kit though and you wont go wrong with it.

I like my Sony soundbar & sub, they werent 'that' expensive but I like the sound quality & the volume range is definitely good
