How much of a wage cut would he take to join us though?

Isn't he on something ridiculous like €330k a week?!

Anyone seen him play recently and know whether he's still got it? 32 now and playing in Russia for 2 years has to drop your standards surely...

Where would he play? Didn't he play outwide at times as a wide forward?

Eto'o -- Soldado -- Lamela/Bale

??

Drogba at 32 - yes please... No idea how Etoooo has faire din his old age.

Now we have the soldier, I'd rather we concentrated on a younger forward.

Can Imagine the goons going for him though (totally against Aw's supposed transfer policy but in panic mode)

Hoddle could have had a team of galacticos if all his deals had come off. Anyone got a gif of that nutmeg ?

I was looking for one yesterday and drew a blank. I remember the goal, it was an absolute peach.

Tottenham are lining up a cheeky move to grab Samuel Eto’o from Chelsea with the White Hart Lane club ready to offer him a two-year-deal.

Eto’o is currently contracted to Chelsea for another few weeks, and Jose Mourinho has reportedly sounded out his agent for talks over an extension.

But following a war-of-words in the media this week, the Cameroon striker is said to be increasingly keen to move away from Stamford Bridge, and Spurs are planning a swoop.

According to reports, chairman Daniel Levy is willing to offer the 33-year-old a two-year contract in order to edge out interest from a host of other clubs.

Eto’o has received offers from MLS and Australian teams, along with several Italian and Spanish sides – including his old outfit Real Mallorca.

However, Spurs believe they could tempt the striker to remain in London, where he has settled and fallen in love with the Premier League.

Tottenham, who are without a permanent manager following the sacking of Tim Sherwood, are believed to be pushing ahead with transfers regardless, with technical director Franco Baldini helping identity targets.

no way he only played with any effort after Mourinho ****ged him off and we know spurs managers are not allowed to do that to the players. The guy was one of the best but has a bigger problem with motivation now then even ade.

We need to go for Lukuka or Bony as the main striker and that young english chap at west brom or Deeney at Watford as our second striker and Kane as our third striker.

Ade and Soldado can bugger off.
