If only Bale still had this much fire in his belly.

Have a mate who is a big Ronaldo fan. Told him Ronaldo was done after we beat Madrid 3-1 at Wembley a few years ago. Every f**king Sunday, the bastard texts me Ronaldo's latest goalscoring exploits to remind me how wrong I was.

On Wednesday, I gave him loads over the Porto free kick. Proper laid it on thick. Then Ronaldo goes and scores a hat-trick today. Bastard.

What a f**kin player, what a talent and what a pro. Certainly one of the top players of all time.

Would love it if City got gazumped by their bitter rivals following the Kane farce.

Chequebook-Pep would surely go bonkers. :D

What will Pep do with this news? He's already said he's leaving, so what else can he find in his pram?.

I'm not sure. It's really funny. But I do hate Man Utd.
Seeing smug Ole parading around with another toy bought for him would be sickening.

That's a very good signing for them, even if it's relatively short term.

Hmmm. Will be interesting to see. Heard him described on The Guardian Football Weekly podcast as being in the ‘siege weapon’ stage of his career - needs to be wheeled into position in order to be effective. Made me chuckle.

Great description, lol. I think he will be good for them for at least this season, but the PL will of course be a bigger challenge than La Liga and Serie A at his age. He's still quality though. Rather him than Bale, to put it that way.

Will he take the shirt number from Cavani and the penalties from Bruno?

That’s what’s been said in Italy. They want to play a progressive brand of football as teams sit deep against them. He is only useful on the counter. Juve seem pleased to have gotten rid of him.

Don’t see how he fits in at United. Odd .
