Totally agree. I got my own illness a couple of years ago but before the diagnosis MND was the one I was most fearful of. The thought of being paralyzed is truly terrifying.

I read up little bits on it and even all that money raised from the ice bucket challenge they have promising developments but nothing concrete.

Not sure I'm ready to express my views on this yet... but having fully functioning brain capacity whilst your body starts closing down sounds truly horrific

My son has just started playing rugby at school and I genuinely don't know whether I should stop him playing

It seems to be really arbitrary, in terms of who gets it? No real cure either. Agreed, it fudging sucks.

I remember a friend telling me the were organisations around for people who are scared of it.

Fear of the disease is so bad it can effect people into thinking they have it.

My Parkinson's support group we work on our mental strength, learning not to fear the future and make the most of today. It is easier said then done.

Help raise money and awareness but try not to live in fear guys.

Like people living in fear of brain aneurysm. One day it's just pop, you're dead. But surely the stress of living in fear is likely to contribute to any chance of suffering one.
