Worked out with a couple of Argentinians we bought on the back of a WC but yes normally tournament football is not a good gauge for club football.

Can't be that bad if Barcelona signed him.

I'd say we have to buy this lad now. Sanchez was Toby's replacement and it looks like DeLigt might be Vertonghen's in advance of him possibly leaving for free next summer

Did Sanchez/Deligt play together at Ajax?

I think Foyth is being groomed as Verts' successor. But we need De Ligt too

Raziak looked good on You Tube too. My point with Pavlyuchenko is that he shined during one summer, but then couldn' t really live up to it later on. Same for those guys from Senegal. No other comparions between them.

Pav had style and will not be forgotten by those of us who appreciated and enjoyed that, albeit for only a short period. Shame he was a lazy git but that's life!

Won't be forgotten by those of us who also appreciated his quality, but who see him as a perfect example of what was wrong at the club for so long. Thankfully talent without desire and hard work is no longer an acceptable norm at the club.

he played with so many good players, and david bentley

in hindsight, i remember that i really liked him. cant remember why he didn't do better, but one goal against john terry, the first touch was so perfect it has always stuck with me. it's not on that video unfortunately.

had a really original song too...

Is this the De Ligt thread or the reminiscing about Pav thread?
