Friedel (6.5) - could have probably palmed the ball a different direction for their goal but was a good save. GHod save from Frimpong too.

Walker (5.5) - Not his best game. A few good runs going forward but some questionable decision making.
Kaboul (6.5) - Was solid and tried going forward too. Maybe deserves a 7 really..
Dawson (5) - Thought he was pretty crap tbh. Just looked shaky throughout.
Ekotto (6) - Again just ok.

Lennon (6.5) - Thought he did ok, I also thought it was a silly decision taking him off.
Parker (5.5) - Not good from Scotty.
Modric (7) - Started slow but got into the game later on. Good goal.
Bale (6) - Overhit shots, hmmm nothing much came off for him.

VDV (5.75) - Nah not good from Rafa. His corners actually annoy me.
Ade (6) - Ok but not much else. Scored a legit goal.

Players were tired and it is difficult to rate but i think walker was amazing in his efforts.

    I will make 4 points.

    - Dawson is not good enough for a team that plays in the top ten, very shaky. If he starts, we'll concede. We need to sell him before the end of the window.
    - Referees, how many fine goals will adebayor get disallowed this season? this is becoming a joke now.
    - Team was tired, again why are city playing Monday and why are we playing 60 hours after our previous game?
    - Vdv and adebayor need to play better, especially improve the finishing.
    - I wanted defoe from the start, he came on too late aswell.

Thought Kaboul was awful going forward tbh. Didn't do us any favours, generally just lost the ball every time he got it in the opponents half

Harsh on Dawson, thought he was pretty good tbh. Don't see why he and Parker are getting a lower rating from OP than Adebayor and Bale who both had bad games by their standards

Agree about Adebayor - it seems that officials have something against him! Once is annoying....what is it now? 4?

Defoe played where he should play - Rafa and Adebayor our are best forwards. Would just like to see Bale play left wing and bring in another winger so that we have someone on the bench who can beat players

Really??? Granted I didn't see the game today, but this is hyperbole too far. If he starts we concede. Well how about his first start in 6 months on Wednesday night?

It because of a secret agenda by the media to give advantages to teams of their choosing to get extra rest...I got this from a reliable if not mentally unstable source...

I thought as a team we did ok, I would prefer to see Lennon and Walker link up better - they seem a devasting offensive partnership on paper but rarely combine like Charlie and Lennon or Bale and Benny. I would also prefer Ade to stop dummying the ball and just take it and smash it in like he did against us so often.

Thought Daws was a little disappointing today, don't remember him winning a header and some of his 1st touches and passes were a little off.

Kaboom and Walker were both pretty solid at the back but also useful going forward, Walker must improve on his decision making though in the final 3rd.

Modric ran our midfield as usual, excellent finish too.

Parker looked like he'd missed a few games, but needed the run out before next sun.

Vdv was too deep again, he's not helping if he's linking play between our back four and midfield, he should be linking play a little further upfield, where he's a threat.

Bad ade didn't seem to want to shoot, and if noticed he's doing this more often, trying to pick a pass 12 yds out when he should be having a dig.

    That is all

I guess this is sticking my head out, but.. Modric a 7?! He had more missed passes today than his combined tally for the 1st part of the season.. and although his goal was good; 1. The keeper should have saved it and 2. He had 5 other shots that was pretty bad.. I know we sometimes expect too much of him but todays performance did not deserve a 7 in my eyes.

Dawson won headers vs Everton, thats all he can do, just like kevin davies or other players.

As soon as the ball is on the floor, players dribble him for fun. Do you want a replay of the aguero goal at the lane?

As soon as he came back i knew our run would end. We're always going to concede with players like that. He would be good for bolton, wigan or a championship side.

I thought we had improved but if you like the old tottenham again, with players like Gomes, Gardner or dawson giving opponents goals then thats up to you.

Charlie - whilst I agree partly with what you are saying - you still dont sell defenders.

You pointed out that Dawson can only defend well against the non footballing teams ie Stoke etc SO WHY SELL HIM? Why not keep him and play him against the likes of Stoke?

Some defenders are more suited against certain teams than other defenders. Dawson would have been better against Stoke than Gallas for example. HENCE WHY WE HAVE A SQUAD surely. A squad is not a matter of a first eleven plus back ups. I see a squad as 25 individuals who can all play depending on the oppositions strengths and weakness.

Just because a player is not good enough to be a first choice players does not mean we sell him. If that were the case then lets just have 11 players in our squad.

Well he was poor today against a non footballing team!! Missed his header, and then suddenly we are a goal down.

You are saying that Dawson is a good squad player, maybe, but our first choices are so often injured that he is in the first eleven when fit and is even the captain!

If everyone was fit, he'll probably be starting with king ahead of gallas and kaboul. I have faith in Harry so maybe im wrong as he knows football more than me surely. I am just seeing the same old story again, sloppy goal because of him.

Thats all he had to do all the game aswell, one corner, they had one corner and he managed to miss his header. What if they had 20? what if today the strikers had a bit of pace? well we would have conceded 5 goals just like city. Of course not all the goals were his faults but please dont tell me some of you guys are hoping he stays in the side vs City??

    Charlie

See thats my point. I like Dawson but I know his limitations and I wouldnt play him against bricky. Id play Dawson against Stoke but not against pacey attack like bricky with Aguero etc.

Personally I wouldnt blame anyone for their goal but I am getting slightly annoyed at Friedels static movement for crosses that he could come out to. He is a big lad and crosses like that he could come out and either catch or clearly punch out.

Thats the main problem. We all like dawson because hes a nice lad and all that, seems like he loves the club blablabla so people tend to forget how poor he is.

I agree that Dawson would be a better choice than Gallas vs Stoke, but even vs Crouch of Jones, im not sure he would cope.

Sorry mate id love to agree with you but i think the lad will always struggle.:)
