    Tottenham v Everton (16:30 BST)

Everton's midfield is starting to look seriously impressive after Carlo Ancelotti's recent recruitment drive, but they still look short of firepower.

Tottenham are also taking shape under Jose Mourinho and they have done good business over the summer too. I still think they need a proper back-up for Harry Kane, though.

I'd go with Spurs to edge this one, but I don't see either team making the top four this season.

    Lawro's prediction: 2-1

    Southampton v Tottenham (12:00 BST)

If Gareth Bale signs in time to play for Tottenham then this is almost the perfect fixture for him to come back to, involving another of his former clubs.

Bale is going to be an excellent signing, and he is the kind of player that will lift the whole dressing room when he walks through the door.

Even without him, though, I'd back Spurs here. They were poor against Everton and I found what Jose Mourinho said afterwards about their "lazy pressing" very strange, but I'd expect a reaction from them here.

Mourinho very rarely loses consecutive games and Southampton are hardly in top form either.

Not just because they lost to Crystal Palace, but more because they barely laid a glove on them in that game.

    Lawro's prediction: 0-2

    0-2 eh?

The pandemic has obviously caused him to completely reassess his approach to everything.

    Tottenham v Newcastle (14:00 BST)

Both of these sides have had one very good performance and result in the Premier League so far this season - and one very bad one too.

I'm going for Tottenham here, though. They have got to wait for Gareth Bale to get fit, but even without him they showed last week against Southampton that they have got a big attacking threat.

Son Heung-Min and Harry Kane both feed off goals and, after they combined so well against Saints, I'd expect more of the same this time.

    Lawro's prediction: 2-0

Manchester United v Tottenham Hotspur (16:30 BST)

It's not just United's back four which is a problem - it is the protection, or lack of it, in front of them that really astonished me against Brighton.

Brighton were allowed to play in and around United's 18-yard box, which I could not understand. Solskjaer has got to find a better balance in his midfield because, yes, they were great going forward - but they look like they are going to concede goals too.

Spurs created plenty of chances against Newcastle last weekend, but could not beat Newcastle goalkeeper Karl Darlow. I am going with United because of their attacking power, but it is going to be very close.

    Lawro's prediction: 2-1

Tottenham v West Ham (16:30 BST)

West Ham have won both games while their manager David Moyes has been in isolation recovering from coronavirus, but he should be back in the dugout for this one.

We might get a first look at Gareth Bale in action for Tottenham too, if he is fit, but they have been doing pretty well without him to be honest.

I'm going for a Spurs win, whether Bale features or not.

    Lawro's prediction: 2-1

    Burnley v Tottenham (20:00 GMT)

I still can't quite believe how Tottenham threw away a 3-0 lead against West Ham with less than 10 minutes remaining, and only picked up a point.

That just showed how Spurs are still something of an enigma and, as dangerous as they are going forward, they are still vulnerable at the back.

I think Burnley can capitalise, if they take the game to Spurs. The Clarets are getting more and more players back from injury, and I'm backing them to get their first win of the season.

    Lawro's prediction: 2-1
