Kevin-Prince Boateng - Priceless

he was pony

a good goal every 78 games and stacks of mediocrity in between don't make you a good player

thats very harsh on him he has been a regular for Milan and generally one of their better players. He also had a phenominal WC for Ghana, he might have been brick for us but can't see how you can call him pony right now

he always had the talent. his close control was excellent & he has great passing vision. never was quite as good as he thought he was though.
maturation & coaches seem to have made a decent player out of him, something i had hoped (but doubted) we could have done at spurs.

it was another fantastic Comoli buy for Jol

Yep, it is worth remembering that the likes of BAE, Bale and Kaboul, and in fact about half of the mainstay squad that ended up in 4th, were going the same way under Jol until we got a decent coaching team in.

Well that's as maybe. I didn't say he was good for us. He had bags of potential and then we played him as DM and he got shouted down by the manager whenever he ventured forward, how's he meant to get goals?

Mismanagement, unfortunately.

He played 14 Lge games in two years ( most of them as sub) and out of posistion, he was never given a chance to settle and is a far better player then given credit for.
