I yearn for the time when we get into a period where we are not inundated by matches and he can be part of a settled midfield with which he can establish a full understanding. Gio could be utterly devastating when he has colleagues than can hel pcreate space and options for him

    Doing his thing?

Is that constantly pulling the legs of his shorts down?

Apparently a doubt for Sunday's match. Unspecified injury, but the cause of his half time substitution against Maccabi

I thought when he scored his second goal he got a kick, maybe that is what happened.

I'm so happy we are starting to push back on this.

Yes, he does have a slight knock, but how many times have our players been risked in internationals when they were not 400%, or even just had to travel when they wouldn't play anyway.

Tanganga, Bergwijn, Bale and now GLC pulling out of international squads. Real whiff of Jose's influence here. Long may it continue.

People are seeing what they want to here - when someone not already injured and missing league games pulls out of internationals then by all means put it down as something new, otherwise have a bloody word with yourselves

You'd think he would have been around for the Utd game if this was some clever ploy by Jose lol.

When we see Kane pulling out of internationals but plays in the league games either side, there might be something in it

Even though I've been one of his biggest critics, I'm glad he's close to being in contention again. Our first choice midfield 3 probably includes him (Ndombele and Hojbjerg). Like Lamela, he does more than his fair share of defensive work and can pick a pass, even if he does carry the goal threat of sissoko.

Think it will be a real boost to have him back. Ndombele has made his absence less noticeable, but I think he will make his presence felt none the less.

It far to early to suggest but i hope he does not turn out to be injury prone like Lamela.

Bloody Argentine players. Injury-prone, the lot of them.
