Was he on anyone’s radar before this season? He’s 29 and the first I heard of him was about 2 months ago. I see he has 45 caps for Serbia so probably just showing my ignorance.

Was heavily linked with Inter for a while, think Inter bid as high as 40m at one point, there's a somewhat amusing story that Frankfurt gave Lazio the wrong contact information so they couldn't formally put a bid in too or something along those lines.

He's quality. Head and shoulders above everyone elso in the Eintracht Frankfurt team. Works hard and is quality going forward. More average defending, but he's strong and has plenty experience.

What about Orsic, the LWB that scored a hattrick against Spurs for Dinamo Zagreb 14 months ago, what happened to him?

What about some of the Rennes players that played well against us 9 months ago? Rennes finished 4th in Ligue Un.

    He's probably never scored again.

When you say 'average defending' are we talking Marcos Alonso level? Or worse? And i take it you mean it might be average but what you gain going forward is worth it level of average?

Who currently in the PL would you most closely liken him to?

Defensively I'd say on par with Sessegnon. Stronger but not as quick. Hard to think of a player to compare him with. He puts in an awful lot of crosses, and usually gets around 5-10 goals and 10 assists. This season was actually his lowest tally since 2016, with 5 goals and 9 assists in the league.

So the same amount of goals as all 4 of our full backs combined.

Add to that, far more potent forwards than what he has at Frankfurt! Think he could be a really good addition! Him and Son on the left hand side could be devastating!

A certain David Beckham was useless at dribbling.

He didn't need to, he just crossed.

I’m behind this signing after flicking over to one of their Europa games for 20 minutes and this guy devastating the other team’s right hand side. Was miles above anyone else on the pitch. If we get Spence too then we have a good mix of experience and youth in Sess/Kostic and Doherty/Spence. And homegrown/foreign players too.

I hope we are still in for Kostic, despite the strong Perisic links.
Assuming Reguilon is going to be sold which is a shame, but I don't think he offers enough in attack to play as a wing back.
Kostic is strong and quick and has a wand of a left foot.
I think we'd be another 5-10 goals a season better off with him in our side.

Agreed. Personally I'd prefer Kostic to Perisic but either is great

I'm not sure we need both though. Understand Perisic can cover other positions, but do we need a 33 year old covering Kane and Son?

I don't think we'll sign both though, and this is probably Paratici's usual approach of lining up multiple options for the same position

Probably makes sense given the impending Peresic deal...
