If I'm watching us on TV I pretty much have the game on mute for the 90 mins and do the same at HT.

The suggestion is that he was kicking off over the time added on at the end of the half, 2 mins was farcical but to be expected with these officials.

All for the price of Ndombele and GLC if I’m not wrong. Shows there is value to be had out there. Can’t believe how quickly the three have settled. The again, as much as I love Poch, I thought he’d been putting too much whiskey in his mate tea when he was talking about it taking two years for Ndombele to settle.

Shouldn’t touch a premium priced player knowing it would take 2 years
But tanguy was IMO the right signing. They don’t always work of course but I haven’t a clue what his mind set was like

Think conte is huge in the decision aswell. He knows the league and what is required from a player. Really excited. Think levy seeing those 3 doing so well will also help him trust their choices.

Yes that is a huge thing and hopefully getting Levy's trust leads to increasing investments in the team.
There's talk about "panic buys" and while it may be true our first choice transfers didn't come true, given how the new boys started full games it looks like the alternatives were well thought through and far from desperate purchases. So Paratici didn't get our first choice, but Conte was convinced from the start that the alternative (Kulu and Bentan) were good enough.
 
He got a lot of heat over the Jan window for being inactive and then for only signing players from Juve, but he’s doing a great job

when was the last time we signed two players in the same window and they hit the ground running the way the two Juve kids have

he’s signed 3 players that improve the first 11 In 2 windows, something we’ve struggled to do.

2 gambles on the future in Gil and Sarr

only black mark is Royal in my view

3 more players of a similar ability/suitability to Romero Kulu & Bentancur in the summer and we'll be in a very good place

Royal isn't even s black mark considering he was bought for a different manager intent on playing a different system. He was bought as an orthodox RB and he's pretty good at that as evidenced pre Conte. He was one of the few positive elements of Nuno's short reign.

However even accepting that he no longer fits our needs you can't call him a bad buy as such when he wasn't bout for the system we play now and the very different role and tasks he was being asked to perform.

Especially if two of them are wing backs. I feel like that’s the most important part of the jigsaw left. Upgrades in that area and we really should be going places next season…..

2 x wingbacks and a partner for Bentancur in the middle are what i see as priorities, from there we look to upgrade/strengthen the depth in a bunch of other posions across the squad

It's really encouraging - we've got our 3 world-class players at their peak (Kane, Lloris and Son). But these three have instantly leap-frogged everyone else and are racing up on the first trio. It's a great spine in the making for our next team.
 
I'd say the essentials for the first eleven are:

GK - Lloris + new succession planning

CH - 3 from Romero, Dier, Davies + new who can play on the left

WB - 4 from Doherty, Sessegnon, + 2 new specialists

MF - 2 from Bentancur, PEH, Skipp

FW - 3 from Kane, Son, Kulusevski, Bergwijn (or new CF if we're not going to play him/want to sell)
 
I'd use Johnstone and Brereton being on frees to spend all our funds on a top drawer LCB and RWB.

CM is a bit in the air I think until we see the Skipp-Bentancur pairing and how good Sarr actually is.

Is Diaz good or just a player going through a good season/purple patch?

Wiki says he has 29 goals in 80 games for Blackburn and 20 of those have come this season.

8 in 50 at Forest

I seem to recall he took Arsenal apart in the cup whilst at Forest a few years ago.
