*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur vs Aston Villa ***

What a game. We were so energetic right from the start - especially Son - I think he made a record number of sprints for a spurs player, so glad he got the assists and goal. Undoubtedly this is our best starting line up and while Dragusin had some shaky moments, he still looks the part and...

The Goon Thread - Officially Second In A One Horse Race

Arsenal playing some really good football not just possession and control but creativity and persistent little triangles up front patiently probing and tiring defences out...which leads to a lot of late goals. If you haven't been watching the full games then you might be excused fof thinking...

    OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Palace

Watched the recording again and yes it was quite boring. However it was a better experience than the last few games as I was getting exasperated by us not being able to hold the ball and exerting control over the other team. Too bad for Richy , his injury and absence confirms to me that we play...

Very little movement and I think the boys were clueless - I think ange needs more variations and tactics to change things around when nothing is working

    Richarlison

Injured again. Sure, nice guy, but wish he could contribute at a high level consistently.

We've built a stadium, we have solid revenue streams and now begun the rebuild and catching up with several no transfer windows. Guess this is right and we should be able to sustain spending into 2024

    Emerson Royal

He's been asked to play everywhere anduch less his favourite position. I think he is still good at RB, as a more defensive option.

Loris too thinks we could have won something under Pochettino. Obviously it would have meant the owners coughing up their own cash then. https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/tottenham-hugo-lloris-mauricio-pochettino-trophy-b1141057.html “We were close to winning. I think at the time, we...

Even if we didn't concede did you think we were attacking well?

Overblown or not it's a matter of perception. Fact is we are coming up with teams who know how to defend against us more effectively and consistently. And sadly we haven't seen a lot of variations in the way we play.

Sone Sometimes players don't turn up when they can't or no longer want to execute the strategy. Same has happened before with Mourinho and Conte, we looked like winning something at the beginning but was not sustainable. Even so, its the job of the manager to motivate players. Or remove them...

Because we've been.found out? We don't counter direct to goal instead allow defences to organise with 2 banks of 9 in the box, where we insist on crossing from the byline to the 6 yard line..so easy to nullify. So we've been forced to play sideways.

Has Angeball has been found out? Will be interesting to see if better teams will play like wolves by stifling our attacks, focus on set pieces and counter attacking .

Corner clearance fell to.him outside the box , miscontrolled , showed too much of the ball and defender took over. It was maybe unfortunate and the bigger mistake was not tracking the player behind after all the hard of running back to our box

Beca Because our players simply aren't that good at holding the ball. The drop-off from porro and udogie is huge and while richy scores he contributes very little in build up play and tends to hand over possession rather frequently. Ange's defensive set up I'm told . I expect to see more teams...

Is maddison good at set pieces? Son scores them for Korea frequently

Also very immobile. Royal isn't fast but works hard turning to shield and sudden change in directions in tight quarters. Richy just seems to take the most predictable action.
