Cameron Carter Vickers

How is there an option to buy when the loan is for the whole season and he only has 12 months left on his contract? Did he sign an extension?

Every time we loan him out we extend his contract. So after finishing the loan with celtic he's got another year. We also have an option for an extendion of another year if we wanted.

And we get loan fees each time. He's making us a profit.

This, the loan club pays his salary and us a loan fee.

He's a very "misunderstood" player, while he may not be Spurs level, he's actually done very well on his loans, been unlucky in the clubs just not in the end being able to afford him or as was the case last season, missing out on promotion (they would have bought him)

If in a year, we get even a million or two, he's probably generated a decent profit for the academy.

And as a player at his age, being tied to Spurs does help him raise his profile, nothing wrong going on here at all.

This is Levy for you !!
Get rid for peanuts then it's one less in the squad, wages etc
They had a chance to buy him for £6m in the summer, with only his Bournemouth form to go on.

They chose to do a 'suck it and see deal' instead. This protects THEIR interests as they can dump him back on us if he's poo. For them to have that beneficial flexible situation, they are obviously going to be quoted more. They were, and AGREED to a £10m buy clause.

There is nothing to see here apart from what you want to see.

I guess worst case scenario if no one wants to pay the £10m we could always pay him off to leave the club like Aurier, or just let him run down his contract like Rose :D

He's been on a rolling one year extension for years now, so there's never been much time would need to lapse on it

Good move for all concerned, I wouldnt be surprised to see him back in PL in a couple of years, we couldnt afford the time for him to develop here, an other young player who's physic allowed him to be dominant at age level football.
