I had that thought. It was a cunning plan to help us finish above United, which we need to do if fourth is still the hope.

Of course, Baldrick's cunning plans don't always work out.

Marcus Rashford and Jude Bellingham have been recalled to the England squad for this month's World Cup qualifiers with Albania and San Marino.

There is no place in the squad for Jadon Sancho or his Manchester United team-mate Jesse Lingard.

It a an odd one given how long they courted him for and how much he cost.

Lingard should have stayed at West Ham too.
