    It seems to have gone quiet on him taxing the super rich. Looks instead like he’s going after sectors of society further down the pecking order. Some good ideas, but I’ll wait to see how they’re funded - and if they actually ever happen - before getting too excited.

    Not many claiming only unemployment benefit these days, I would imagine. We pay our pensioners less than any other G7 country. Indeed we pay them less than the Repubic of Ireland.

    Similar points were made on 5Live about the TV money/financials. I suppose Rangers show that action can still be taken even when the outcome is a less (much less in the case of the SPL) attractive product.
