    Wasn’t it a round up “highlights” clip, years after the actual event? It wasn’t a lead or showing anyone anything they hadn’t seen a thousand times before. Would be mad if something this trivial did so much damage compared to all the actual missteps the BBC have made in the last decade.

    I think there was definitely a coordinated campaign of misinformation by certain newspapers, linked to the Tory government of the time, to spin things against certain classes and minorities. James O’Briens How They Broke Britain is worth a read.
