    That is a very good point. The ref gave it, so VAR can only overturn if it’s clear and obvious — yet they want the ref to review it (so it’s not clear and obvious then?) The absolute shambles of PL refs continues.

    Seems an odd one. I’ve never liked him, but what he said was pretty much a fact, and Utd seemed to be improving. Think he does have a point that people are more concerned with what pundits say than actually looking and understanding what the team is trying to do.

    It’s genuinely because he can’t pass. He has to have like 3 steps and shape his body, so always dribbles until he has enough space (or tries a pass regardless but usually goes wrong) This kind of sounds stupid, but watch him closely and he always has to prepare to pass.

    When both he and Richy are on the pitch we’ve always looked better with Richy on the left. So fudge knows why he always does it the other way around… Presumably cause Richy scored a couple times, but that’s despite the formation not because of it.

    Not a bad result. However, I’m sure there were a lot of times we won the second ball around 30 yards out with an easy pass to someone unmarked (who would then have a good chance of playing someone in)…and… we play it backwards. Must have counted at least 5 times this happened. Is it a tactic...

    Yeah playing like this is “controlled” if you win 1 or 2 nil. But if you lose it’s horrendous. My concern is this tactic simply won’t work against better teams, but I guess at least we have some kind of plan.
