Champions League 25/26: Dortmund, PSG, Villarreal, Frankfurt, Slavia, Bodø/Glimt, Copenhagen, Monaco

I wasn’t aware about the other rumours. Only that his injury is dragging on far longer than we had expected and that him being withdrawn from the squad clearly doesn’t bode well for at least not for the next month.

All I can see is that Solanke was out for over 60 days, therefore he can be replaced. Why would he be replaced if he’s likely to be fit to play in either or both of the next UCL matches?

But if Solanke was to be fit to play in the group stage, surely he wouldn’t have been withdrawn? So that suggests that he won’t be fit until at least the end of January, which is a longer time out than had previously been hinted at or anticipated outside of the club. I really had high hopes...

    Xavi Simons

He needs to start v Slavia Prague on Tuesday. Great performance today and if he can deliver against Slavia then this likely will be the big turning point.

    Randal Kolo Muani

If we want to sign him, we would be doing the right thing to do all we can in January to make the deal permanent. He’s more likely to sign whilst he’s here with us. He is clearly our best fit all round striker, and when and if Solanke returns, the both of them mean that we could move...

    Archie Gray

I think midfield is Bentancur/Palhinha, Bergvall/Gray, and Simons/Sarr. Has to be those rotation options.

*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur FC v Brentford FC ***

People have been saying on here that Archie Gray could play a similar role to that Dembele played for us. I’m not convinced but like how mobile he is around the pitch. I like that he now has his midfield role and today is a big chance for him. I hope that he can get forward and support Simons...

Same. I feel optimistic about today. I think we’ll win 3-1.

Someone from here kindly offered me a free ticket. I won’t name who but I appreciated the offer. Unfortunately as you have said, the other costs quickly stack up. Train return journey from here is £85, when I couple that with my job ending in 2 weeks, unfortunately that and a late night event...

*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur FC v Brentford FC ***

Are people giving free tickets away this weekend? 🤣 wouldn’t mind going if they are. I think it’s going to be a tough match. Aren’t all home matches these days. But this one will be a special one I hope.

The Case for the Attacking play

Kane scored 30 PL goals in his last season with us. A season in which we were otherwise awful. Many of those were goals he had to make for himself. He dropped deep, got on the ball and scored. But Kane isn’t just a good striker.

    Thomas Frank - Head Coach

I think so much hinges on how we perform v Brentford. We played with more intensity tonight BUT we were often laboured in possession. We need a more dynamic midfielder who can get the ball forward quickly. If only we could find ourselves a modern day Dembele. We need to create more still...

    Thomas Frank - Head Coach

I think he’ll be gone before then. I don’t think he’ll see the year out. If we lose v Saudi Sportswashing Machine he may be gone within the week. I think the lack of home support. The booing. People not turning up, and so many trying to sell their seats. This will force a decision.

    Thomas Frank - Head Coach

I think it’s clear that Thomas Frank isn’t and won’t be the right manager for us. We could choose to persist with him but to what end?! The board want regular European football and we’re heading further away from that. If there were signs of hope then fair enough. But I don’t see any...

    Thomas Frank - Head Coach

For anyone that thinks they can see progress under Thomas Frank, who is happy with our performances or sees enough. Please let me know what it is that I’m missing.
