He’s one of those that I think is getting disgruntled by how ambitious we are being. I can imagine him thinking ‘know your place Spurs’ etc and being bitter about it all

You think once we sign Tonali, if we do, then that’s the end of our business. I very much doubt it will be. We’re only at the start of July. This is clearly a big overhaul and once we have signed another midfielder, Tonali or otherwise, then we will move to the attacking positions.

World Cup 2026: Mexico, USA and Canada

He had an excellent game as did Van de Ven. Van de Ven’s challenge was excellent.

    Mateus Ferdnandes

This one feels like it’s going to burn out soon. I don’t rate our chances of either Tonali or Fernandes right now. If we were going to sign either then why is it taking so long if we are seemingly happy to go big this window?!

We are far from skint. What the £100m injection does is help our cash flow. We will spend around £250m-300m net.

    Lucas Bergvall

I would tell Forest that a deal was very possible, talk numbers and then last minute tell them to fudge off. After the stunt they pulled with MGW last summer I don’t want us to sell them anyone never mind a player with as high a potential as Bergvall.

If there's no Tonali and no Mateus, who will take it?

Ederson has signed for Manchester United, hasn’t he? And Bruno G would be more than £100m as he’s Saudi Sportswashing Machine’s best player.

    Dubravka

Welcome to the club Dubravka. Excellent backup to Kinsky for the season. He’s reliable if called upon, and with his experience and knowledge he can’t help but support Kinsky’s development. I think it’s a perfect signing for what we needed.

    Mateus Ferdnandes

He won an average of 2.9 tackles per match for West Ham. That’s only 0.3 different from Palhinha who made most tackles last season. So I wouldn’t be that against his defensive work, unless there are other factors?

    Sandro Tonali

Every time I watch Rice play he passes the ball sideways and backwards. Perfect Thomas Frank player. But think he’s overrated and don’t see it with him at all. Might be a me thing but.

    Will Lankshear

Wouldn’t surprise me if we tried to get Kane. It would surprise me if he did return. He’s loved at Bayern, he is thriving at Bayern, and he signed a new contract there. He’s the leading all time goal scorer for England with a total that may stand for a long time to come. Maybe that’s enough...

    Nico Paz

Im all for this. I identified Rovella and Paz as two players I wanted us to sign over a year and half back. Rovella has had injury issues unfortunately. But Paz has continued to shine. So would be more than happy if we signed him.

World Cup 2026: Mexico, USA and Canada

This (Mexico v Korea Republic) is the worst World Cup match so far. Nothing happening. More offsides than any real action.
