    I always used to think he was the kind of player that Guardiola would have liked. He’s strong on the ball. He works hard. Creates opportunities. In a way I am surprised, injury aside, that he was never really linked to City. Can’t wait to see him back for us, just wonder when that will be.

    There was talk of Twitter last night that Fernandes had suffered an ACL injury. Thankfully Szyexcl posted to say that it’s not true. That would be a nightmare were it to happen. Hope he’s named in the squad today to dispel any remaining doubts.
