The Current State of Spurs (and some sympathy for Thomas Frank)

I guess we'll never know his thought process but you could argue that what Levy did with Ange was entirely in keeping with how he's always run the club. Lots of people in the know, including those who've worked for Levy, have stated that the main ambition was to get into the Champions League...

The Current State of Spurs (and some sympathy for Thomas Frank)

I think you're right. Proof of the pudding will be in the January and summer windows. The Lewis' have made a lot of noise about wanting to be competitive but it's easy to say that in September when you can't do anything about it. I'm very, very skeptical that the family who've owned this club...

The Current State of Spurs (and some sympathy for Thomas Frank)

I think it's too early to be definitive on Levy yet. To be fair, what we're seeing now is partially his responsibility and partially an outcome of decisions he made. That said, I actually agree with you and think history will be kind to Levy. He had us top 6 for pretty much 20 years and we...

I did laugh at Simon Jordan earlier in the week for being totally classless and saying that what goes around comes around and this may be karma for how he treated Saudi Sportswashing Machine. Awful thing to say but, given my hatred for Liverpool, a small part of me agreed.

If you step on a football pitch, there is a chance you injure someone or get injured. It's a reality of the sport. I agree with your post though. I can see why the Dipper fans would be tinkled. I would be if it happened to one of ours but I don't think it's anything other than a very unfortunate...

Think it's the fact it resulted in a broken leg that's generated the discussion to be fair. I also don't class it as a scissor tackle. He's ended up in the similar position as a scissor tackle but it's just a sliding tackle. He has nowhere else to put his other leg unless he goes two footed.

    Thomas Frank - Head Coach

Ah yeah, I get it mate. I've said it before but one of my best match going days was the abject 3-0 defeat to Chelsea under Nuno the day Jimmy Greaves died. Not for the game. Afterwards, I went to the Number 8 and a bunch of us, pretty much complete strangers, just drank, sang and danced the...

    Thomas Frank - Head Coach

Except Tottenham where our highest point in 40 years resulted in nothing but glorious failure while our lowest point resulted in a trophy. What a club…

Because it was about as violent as a kiss on the cheek.

He only injured himself though. Parker and Charles were, very luckily and no thanks to Gazza, fine.

    Cristian Romero

Was hardly a kick to the chest. It was petulant and stupid in equal measure but we’re not talking Gazza on Garry Parker or De Jong in the World Cup final. It was no more than a yellow card all day long.

Jesus mate. Fair play. Love hearing stories like that of people doing something brilliant despite being dealt the bricktiest of hands. Hope everything is okay healthwise now.

I agree 100%. I'd have been happy for us to have continued without VAR but the constant moaning about refs by media, players & managers and the money involved in football meant that VAR was inevitable IMO. You're right in your second paragraph but what VAR does for the subjective decisions is...
