They’ve totally fudged up the county championship format this season. Absolute joke Essex were “relegated” to the 2nd tier at the half way stage. Should have got full points when the other side caught COVID instead of given as a draw, think they’d have qualified if that was the case? How can you split the league in half half way through when you’ve not played home and away yet?!

I wish, England could be on for the greatest run chase ever seen at the Oval. 263 is the current record.
If we get through the first session without losing more than one wicket I reckon it could be on.

A century from anyone would secure it I think. 291 in 90 overs isn’t an easy run rate (3.23 per over) but it’s also far from a lost cause.
