Kane was average today, but do you know what him and Eriksen can be excused games like that because they are top players. When was the last time Rose was a top player, 3 years ago.

Wish we had got the money for him and reinvested in players on their way up.

How many games can we excuse Eriksen for, he's gash for months.
We are carrying him atm. At this stage of the season where every point had to be fought for that's not good enough.

I would not want us to spend a billion pounds, would stop supporting us if we did.

But we can scout out the next generation, I like Henry at Brentford think he is a very good young left back. I am sure the are others around Europe who in the 20-23 age range with at least 50 league games under their belt who we could look to moulding into our left back for the future.

It is not all about money, except it is for Rose he is tinkled he is not on as big a contract as Walker. In life we all get the feeling something has passed us by or we stayed to long in a job, that is Rose right now. That is why he is not busting a gut to make something of himself and to prove what a great left back he is and that is the reason he just let that ball go across him.

The guy will come back and have a few good games here and there but he will never push himself to improve from now on in, he does not need to. The chance to go to a bigger club and a bigger contract has gone. He will just turn up for the rest of his career. Would not at all be surprised to see him back at Leeds.

I don't think it was a lack of effort, just brain dead decision making and he didn't want to poke his right foot at it. I think he puts the effort in, but imo he's just not playing well enough. Davies had a solid game v Dortmund and we need solid defending right now because we have a lack of it.

Rose has been a stand out in some of our better games too

The issue is he did make an error ( as did the defenders befor him) and short memories

And some are meant to lighten the mood. I’m not suggesting that Rose’s mistake today was worse than the deaths of 1517 people in the Titanic.
 
I've always liked Rose as a player, I like the way he plays the game. But he doesn't seem dependable right now, not just today's game but just lately. We need a Steady Eddie imo, we need 4 of them. If we stop phucking up at the back, we will win enough games because we pretty much always score.
