UK Weekend Breaks

Has anyone got any decent ideas for weekend breaks? I wanna take the Mrs somewhere for her Birthday and as we've already done a lot of travelling this year I was looking for some good ideas in the UK.

I could've just googled reviews etc but I tried and it's boring me to death so I figured I would just go waste some time in SN&V while some of you great people offered some excellent suggestions.

Haven't been to York for a long time... def need to go up that way again at some point.

I havent done it yet, so cannot vouch for how good it is - but fully intend to have a go as soon as £££ permits

Well I suppose the weather makes it the perfect place but still a lovely town centre, lovely parks and the best sea and sands in Britain IMO.

Isnt it just! You got it right. Stayed in Brockenhurst and Lyndhurst which is busier but just as good.

Yeah we got the train to brockenhurst the first time as we thought it'd be a short cab ride to Bournemouth!! £80!!

Urban Beach Hotel is a little way out in Boscombe but is cracking. One Million Postcards is a cracking bar in Bournemouth centre near the beach.
