I am assuming they are going out on loan. Hopefully Veljkovic goes to a decent club and gets some good experience, looks like he can become a decent player.

Given Poch has recently brought in Davies and Rose has been awarded a new contract, seems unlikely there's any intention to include him in the Prem squad. Maybe the idea is to use him as back up in the Euros to keep his value up until someone comes in for him ...

According to the Premier League: "An Under 21 player is defined as one who is under the age of 21 on 1st January in the year in which the season commences."

Fryers was already 21 at the start of the year. Ben Davies qualifies as U21 though.

30 players listed, minus Davies, Bentaleb, Kane and Dier gives us 26. 9 of them are home grown (we need a minimum of 8). From his lack of involvement in pre-season, it seems likely that BAE won't make the Premier League squad. If we make no more signings, then the squad shapes up like this (25 plus 4 U21's):

Not familiar with numbering... Why does how high, or low, a player's number is?

Over here players pick numbers based on what they want

Many players here do too. But traditionally, numbers indicate you position on the field, and having a number 1-11 would mean you are a first-teamer.

in a 442, it goes:

gk - 1
rb - 2
cb - 6 (sometimes 4)
cb - 5
lb - 3
rm - 7
cm - 4 (sometimes 6)
cm - 8
lm - 11
cf - 10
cf - 9
