On the eve of Wednesday 7 January 2026, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club travel to AFC Bournemouth to take to the field and compete in a game of football. A match that will surely excite and confuse; confuse as it is on Sky Sports Golf and Vicario hasn’t brought his 9 iron.

What; Premier League match: AFC Bournemouth vs Tottenham Hotspur Football Club
Where: Vitality Stadium, Bournemouth
When: 7:30pm 7 January 2026

Now let’s go get the three points and start moving back up the Premier League table!!

I agree with your team.

I think keep the core of the 20-70 minute side from Sunderland. But Muani in his proper position and Xavi in for Richy. Spence for Porro as rotation.

Tactically I'd encourage Odobert to stay narrow and try and combine with Xavi, a bit like how Eriksen and Alli used to in those two positions.

I'm always a bit cautious about mid week away games at little stadiums. Frank should tell players to forget about cup on Saturday and commit themselves to this game.
Agree with resting Porro, Richarlson, Bergvall and would have considered Davies as well, don't know if he's up to playing 2 games in 4 days after so long out of team.

Probably will be Spence and Poro after Spence had a breather last match.

I actually think Xavi plays better when he has Paulinha with him. Helps Xavi feel settled and if he loses the ball Paulinha is there to clean up. So wouldn’t mind:

Poro - Romero - VDV - Spence.
Paunlinha Bergvall
Tel Xavi Odobert
Richarlison

Bentancur and Mauni to come on and make the difference. Need Mauni to step up now.

They're on an even worse run than us. Semenyo seems set to be leaving. On the other hand their high press absolutely suffocated us in our previous match and if they're able to do something similar tonight our weaknesses in playing out from the back will make this a real difficult game.

Hopefully them being off form and the packed fixture list means they can't play like that, we can get a bit of space and actually progress the ball.
