You would like to think that we would more or less have sewn up 1st/2nd in the group by the time we play Anzhi at home which could give us a bit of breathing space between the Sunderland and Liverpool games. I think as long as we get a minimum 7 points from the next 3 Europa fixtures then Tromso (a) and Anzhi (h) can be really about using the full squad.
Looking at who will likely get through (imo) the ties in the League Cup - Man Utd, Spurs, Chelsea, Emirates Marketing Project, West Ham, Southampton, Stoke, Leicester means we have a big chance of a top level tie in the quarters should we advance between the Liverpool and Southampton league games. On that basis, I really hope we have qualification well and truly secured before Anzhi!
