I would like to see more of Odobert for sure and Tel can play wide as well, our top scorer Johnson deserves keeping imo. I think we have far bigger problems as i said. We are crying out for a player who sits in the M/F and that is my priorty, i accept other may differ.

We haven't signed Tel yet. So that's 1 signing to get our quota of sufficient WF options up to 3 players

We do already have 5 decent CM options, including Gray who I think will be an incredible holder. He could just have done with a bit more millage there through the spring.

When he played that role he looked way out of his depth
He, imo, would benefit following the same path rice did playing CB to start with

So did Bergvall till he got 6 games on the bounce in his proper position.

I just think the role is Gray's for as much of the next decade as we can manage to retain him for, so blocking his pathway at this stage of his development would be a bit stupid. Just let Biss switch in and out with him for the next year, and have Berg/Bent/Sarr double pivoting next to them

Bergvall has always been a midfielder in his career so far
Gray hasn’t

That's why I said flirted with.

Some more serious flirtations in our Prem past (not excusing this season mind...)

1993/94 - 15th on 45 points but only 3 above the drop

1996/97 - 10th on 46 points only 6 above the drop

1997/98 - 14th on 44 points only 4 above the drop

2007/08 - 11th on 46 points 10 points above the drop

2024/25 - 17th on 38 points 13 points above the drop

OK?

I didn't say we were in a relegation battle did i? If you guys want to argue the toss over whether finishing 17th in the table constitutes flirting with relegation or not you can crack on but it's a pretty sorry state of affairs that we're in a position that it even needs to be argued tbqh

I'm not 'arguing' anything matey.
Just offering some data showing times when our points tally compared to the relegation points marker has been a lot tighter.

Why anybody thinks there is disagreement on this forum over our league finish being hugely disappointing is mystifying to me.
