55-year-old former model battles breast cancer with diet changes; refuses chemo and surgery

(NaturalNews) The story of former model Jessica Richards' battle with cancer is a remarkable one, especially because it has defected from the use of conventional treatments like chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery. In her book The Topic of Cancer, Richards explains how following a strict metabolic diet and receiving high-dose intravenous injections of vitamin C has helped successfully reverse the progression of her breast cancer, to the shock of many conventional doctors.

It is a story you will likely never hear from the mainstream media, at least not from the perspective of being taken seriously, and yet it is one that people desperately need to hear. Rather than follow in the footsteps of the millions of others who have lost their lives as a result of all the cutting, burning, and poisoning, Richards made the personal, informed decision to naturally fight breast cancer by feeding her body a plethora of cancer-fighting nutrients, and cutting out a host of cancer-causing foods and substances.

After learning that she had an unusually large tumor in one of her breasts, Richards was told by her doctors that she would need to begin an aggressive treatment protocol that involved removing the breast, having it reconstructed, and undergoing an intense series of radiation and hormone treatments to keep it at bay. Knowing a bit about the toll this would take on her body, Richards decided to take a different route.

"The cancer consultant who'd done my ultrasound scans said my tumor was so large I'd need accelerated chemotherapy for several months," writes Richards about her initial diagnosis. "He said I would almost certainly need a mastectomy or at least a large lumpectomy with significant reconstruction, my lymph nodes removed, radiotherapy and five years of hormone-altering drugs after that."

After researching alternative options, Richards decided to eliminate all dairy and sugar from her diet, including most fruits, and instead eat lots of vegetables and take high doses of vitamin C intravenously. After just three weeks of starting this regimen, which many said she was crazy to undertake at the expense of conventional treatments, scans showed that Richards' tumor had essentially "gone to sleep," and was in the process of regressing. Almost immediately after beginning the protocol, in fact, Richards began to see drastic improvements.

"I switched from a generally healthy diet to a metabolic one, focusing on alkaline over acid foods and cutting out all sugars," adds Richards. "I also cut out all grains and most fruit, which are broken down into sugars. Instead, I concentrated on leafy green vegetables, short grain rice, quinoa and linseeds, and cut out all dairy, which is pumped with artificial hormones. I also had regular high-dose infusions of vitamin C, a natural form of chemotherapy."

With the help of alternative cancer specialists, Richards has all but completely cured her cancer
After several months of adhering to her strict diet, which she admits has not always been easy, Richards was told by her consultant radiologist that her tumor was effectively breaking down in the same way as it would with intensive chemotherapy, except without all the organ damage and other deadly side effects. A little over a year after first being diagnosed with cancer, Richards was able to stop her intravenous vitamin C injections -- and not long after that was told that she was completely healthy, and would not have to return for a checkup for another year.

Today, Richards is healthier than ever, and has never once had to be blasted with radiation, poisoned with chemicals, or had a knife cut her skin.

Will Robbie Keane Sr be supporting you?

Amazing story by the way, one that most definitely should be heard!

Causality (also referred to as causation [1] ) is the relationship between an event (the cause) and a second event (the effect), where the second event

is understood as a consequence of the first. [2]

In common usage, causality is also the relationship between a set of factors (causes) and a phenomenon (the effect). Anything that affects an effect is a factor of that effect. A direct factor is a factor that affects an effect directly, that is, without any intervening factors. (Intervening factors are sometimes called "intermediate factors".) The connection between a cause(s) and an effect in this way can also be referred to as a causal nexus.

Chich - I believe a mixture of oxygen and alkaline focus could have you win it Chich (though you are old, is it a seniors?!).

My recommendation is to look at www.sicknesshope.com the guy is a genius in terms of nutrition, bio-chemistry.

I have green smoothies often (half cucumber, half adcocado, some green leafs, bit of water blend), take a pinch of epsom salts with any meal (or snack) that I shouldn't have (to help digest the nitrogen forming foods I'm eating, nitrogen = less oxygen, to much nitrogen = too little oxygen = death).

No protein less than 6hours before sleep, better 8 (though I struggle with this), digesting protein creates an oxygen strain, as more is required, this is why people feel sleepy after a protein meal as the body is functioning on lower oxygen, as you breath less in sleep you dreprive oxygen and cause potential illness and inhibit the bodies ability to heal during sleep.

I can't recommend enough epsom salts and hydrogen peroxide baths, followed by a cold shower, very alkalising, relaxes the muscles.

If you really do want to be tip top then Moreless's alkaline paste is the absolute daddy (at sicknesshope).

Plenty of good oil, sip a small amount of flax a couple of times a day is my preffered, tablets are OK at a stretch if you can't stomach it.

Cut out starch/mucous forming foods as much as poss, read up on alternatives.

I struggle with diet and keeping it as I want, which is silly as when it is on point I feel 20 (I'm 40) when it's not I feel 50!

Just spitballing ideas for you really.

Tim Van Orden's stuff might give you some inspiration also (though I prefer Alkaline focus to RAW foods, alot of acid forming foods get pimped as superfoods which I am not comfortable with, in general though 784% better diet than most folks!);

December 5th, 2011 St. Louis, MO
Every December, USA Track and Field holds it’s annual convention to celebrate the year gone by and to plan for the year to come. Among the celebrations are the handing out of the USA Runner of the Year awards. This year two Vermonters made the list.

After a year of stellar performances, Tim Van Orden, 43 of Bennington, Vermont was for the second year in a row named the USA Masters Mountain Runner of the Year. But the committee didn’t stop there. They also named Van Orden as the 2011 USA Masters Trail Runner of the Year. Van Orden stood on the podium in every National Championship he entered this year, winning four of them. In addition, Van Orden finished 10th at the World Masters Mountain Running Championships held in Italy in September.

Cheeky. No the is no age restriciton on it, the last one was won by a guy i know who is 50. I am younger but not as good as him, the best rider to compete in the field is 24 and i think could be picked up by a pro team, he often races in europe as well.

The two races i have done i have come 29 out of 35 and 30 out of 52, so not to bad. This course suits me as the is not to much of a climb and once i get going i hate having to change tempo for fudging hills.

Previous 2 times i cut out sugar a week before i raced as i heard it was good.

Although the guy i know who won is 50 he has been racing foir 25 years and i have only been doing it for a year now. Is a good group and very friendly, nice to be part of a movement. I know i will never win but im hoping to get top 25 then maybe when we get a completely flat route i could break top 20.

I like to think im a tony martin type rider, that is what i like to think....
