iPhone 4S Wifi weirdness

I stream some radio stations at night if I can't sleep and have started receiving texts from Vodafone advising me that I'm edging up to my data allowance (750MB)

Now, I log onto my wifi at home automatically and also to my work wifi automatically. Upon closer inspection it seems the wifi switches off when I lock the phone. This never happened before as I have streamed radio for a good few monts, but does now?

Does anyone know a (Un-jailbroken) way to resolve this? I want the wifi to stay on whilst the phone is locked.

Anyone?

Have you tried turning Data Roaming off? (only leaving your wi-fi on)

I always do that at home allowing my phone to stay connected to the wi-fi at all times, saving a bit of battery, etc.

In the morning when I leave I reverse the procedure

Never thought of that. Good idea. Bit of a pain in the arse though..
 
You only need to flick a few buttons, mate

I believe mine used to have a similar issue


Here's a note to iOS developers - introduce a 'priority' feature automatically turning off your 3G when connected to a Wi-Fi network
