Connection problem

Virgin media customer - wifi is working fine with my phone but i can't connect with my pc, which has a wired connection - aparently im connected to the network (local and internet) but when it comes to using the browser or spotify etc im having no luck - any suggestions?

Unplug you modem, unplug your router, power up your modem, power up your router in that order, does the trick for me, my modem has bouts of misbehaviour, this usually sorts it.

cheers but the problem seems to be with my PC rather than the broadband connection - laptop and iphone connect perfectly well via wifi but the PC, although saying the connection is there, won't connect

Can the PC connect with wireless? Do you have a USB wireless dongle to test it?

no wireless for the pc

Check internet explorer options

Set browser to auto detect internet

Remove any proxy settings

Or rollback using system restore
